Next season's shirt design - how about this?
madowl47 replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
You see ... if they did something like this it would renew my faith in the club. this shirt screams Sheffield Wednesday not Chansiri FC take note ... if you want to save our club and your investment this is all it needs to snowball us back to a proper club. it really is this simple ... for now. -
The fella has done a great job up to now. Give him the job .. take all the pressure off him and assure him he will remain as manager even if we go down. show him some respect and allow him to have confidence in what he’s doing. Too many managers under pressure of the axe hovering. Let’s change the way things are being done wrong not only at Hillsborough but at most other clubs. Great respect shown to Wilder by the chairman. Sorry to say .. owner has shown remarkable respect. And taken the pressure right off. Brilliant leadership. Once again I apologies for praising that lot.

Why do fans say DC is killing their love for the club?
madowl47 replied to dfoster's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
wish we could take him back to how it was when Howard took them to the old Division 1. The place was magic !! Inside but more importantly outside the ground. Family club back then. Couldn’t wait to give them cash in the club shop. absolutely buzzing in those days. Couldn’t wait for the next match. now I’m almost ashamed to say .. they play games .. and I don’t know they’re even playing. times change has I’ve said. The blueprint is tattered and torn ... just like my desire to get back. -

Sadly times change. These owners are chasing the dream. He’s got it all wrong I’m afraid. The fans are the heartbeat wether we are there or not. he’s made too many drastic changes. From the badge to no real clue how to select a manager for long term. looking at the stadium with his name all over it makes me feel it’s not Sheffield Wednesday any longer ... it’s Chansiri FC After 35 years supporting and looking forward to going ... my decision is made to not go back until the club is run with traditional values in mind. That said ... I’m resigned to the fact ... I won’t be back. thanks Wednesday (Charlton Wilkinson Atkinson Francis and others) for twine of the greatest times of my life. Life moves on ... football will never be the same -

good post can’t wait for the cup final. Both teams Attempt to play this way. Should be a thriller. Just like in the 70s. -

I’ll leave it there. While watching footie this weekend. Keep an eye out for short goal kicks. See how exciting it is have a nice day. -
instead of today’s over priced never have been and never will be’s I thank Trevor for the greatest time we saw at Hillsborough. Teams change. Yes Ron was brilliant. But walked out on us. And still idolised above Trevor. it’s the manly thing to do .. I get it.

Im not here to please you my chum. Or anyone else. Many will agree. what’s a golf handicap got to do with it ... I’m interested ? A golf handicap is for amateur players. How does that relate to professional footballers ? im interested in your reply ? and yes any rule change that allows better players an “advantage” should be looked at. And this does. Play the game with rules already in place. Look further back. At least one (ok 1) did agree with it. And how football seems to be helping managers like Pep play his brand of football. He’s a genius ... but he’s killing the game most of us loved. And the powers that be are allowing it. Never thought I’d have an argument about taking a goal kick -
-
The man that brought us Chris Waddle and many others. There’s no argument.

Bit better. how can they still do it if the rule is changed. ? Happy with a team passing short of it goes out of the area. But two players stood in the area keeper taps it to one of em passing it along the goal line is to me just not the way football should look. .. and I do blame the ££££ s introduced into the game for its demise 100%. Cap the salaries. Players could choose where to play. 50 grand a week. Maybe 25 grand Allow all clubs to compete. If superstars don’t like such a paltry sum ... who are we to care. ?? The bubble will burst. ... Hope it does. I’m just saying I believe this rule will be an advantage .. (and being fair has been mentioned) to teams who can afford the best players and can pass out very comfortably from the back. why make it easier for those teams ?? Rules worked perfectly well for years. What’s changed really ?? To this extent. I understand the post that some teams might waste time by not allowing it to roll out of the area. But to be honest in over 50 years watching footie. I have very rarely seen this or considered it a problem. thanks for your reply by the way -
Ive upset most people with my badge goal kicks discussions. Better not start the Francis debate
-
to put Francis in such illustrious company was no mistake. Complete disgrace the way Francis is remembered. Of course that’s another discussion ..(we won’t have)

and we will remain there forever .. with new rule changes helping the better players / clubs. there’s no substance to your replies by the way. FA cup ties they’ll be no more giant killings. Lesser teams won’t get a kick. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. This is the way it’s going. No tackling will be next. Social distancing football cos someone might take it off Jesus that’s the Man City player not the messiah -

whys that ? Thought this was for discussion. Why take time to get involved ? I don’t get it. And obviously .... neither do you. For me .. the rule makes football a poorer place Why can’t it be mentioned ?? -

So they have reacted to maybe on the odd occasion a team wasting time at the end of a match by ruining the rest of the game with this crazy rule .... Joke of a rule .. made by the new connoisseurs of perfect football. -

Then football is dead ! fair enough .. too many daft changes for me. football was great ... now it’s crap. There’s got to be a reason. I’m talking about top tier football too of course. -

I’m moaning about football making it easier for top clubs. There’s already a gap that will never be closed again. Why give em more advantage with a rule designed for top footballers. ask yer sen ..why do we boot it ??
