  1. Too much is being asked of both Smith and Gregory in the build up play due to our current lack of creativity and dynamism. On quite a few occasions last night Smith was nowhere near the opposition box because he was linking play and then not able to get in position to get on the end of a cross. Leave him to focus on being in and around the box and he’ll score for fun. Totally agree with others that the Smith and Gregory partnership just isn’t working.
  2. After the play offs last season and what on paper appeared to be excellent recruitment our expectations are high. Most weeks it’s difficult to get excited about watching us in L1 so the general atmosphere amongst us is already subdued. We expect to turn over the majority of teams (and rightly so imo as per the above) so anything but a win feels more doom and gloom than it otherwise would. You then throw in some of the following that we regularly experience: poor team selection, no clear game plan, no plan B, naive management, naive players, individual mistakes, lack of desire, terrible officials, oppositions setup just to spoil, time wasting etc. etc. and it makes for a very frustrating experience! We desperately need something from DM and the players to get us going and help create the positivity and togetherness that a club sitting comfortably in third should have.
  3. No. Recruited arguably the best side in the league but has no idea how to put it together. No real Plan A never mind a Plan B. His in game management has cost us on so many occasions and we continue to be one of the most naive sides in a league full of gamesmanship and awful officials. Would absolutely love him to get us up, but there is nothing during his tenure so far that gives me any confidence that he will. I sincerely hope I’m proved wrong!!
  4. We have one of the strongest squads in the league, with proven Champ and L1 players which he can’t get a consistent tune out of. Yes injuries and Covid haven’t helped matters (we’re not the only team this has effected!), but for L1 standards we have still been able to field sides that should be able to compete and perform better at this level. Lack of any real game plan and a clear inability to motivate are the problem which sits with the manager.
