  1. And you still have staff at the top who insist he’s doing his best plus supporters who believe he will turn it around. utter madness inside and out.
  2. I did post this on 27th June in a conversation about staff wages at that time.
  3. They do. All depends on the club and if the visiting club have requested the whole allocation, if the home team can sell them to their own fans then they have the right to request payment for the full allocation if not sold by the visiting club.
  4. Shaun Harvey is a very good football administrator (excuse his faults whilst working for the EFL) and it shows what’s possible by having proven qualified personnel running a football club. DC made a big error by not having a good football admin team.
  5. See my previous post, the new TV deal which is now operational means clubs get £400,000 per month, no lump sum is coming and match day revenue will not cover the operational costs particularly with the stadium repairs required.
  6. It’s not. The new deal no longer provides a lump sum anymore. It’s now issued from July 2025 in monthly payments
  7. I’ll receive the apology on here this afternoon or tomorrow morning
  8. Eh? I expect a full apology this afternoon.
  9. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but he’s on his way to S2.
  10. Deals on deadline day have generally been going on all day and it’s the negotiations that take time. you do still get the odd last minute deal but they’re generally the panic buys when clubs just want a body through the door and a deal is done on a basic fitness test and medical records from the parent club.
  11. Few answers that I know of! medicals are now generally conducted in Manchester & London as the sports science facilities are outstanding compared to anywhere else. The days of going local are long gone as they don’t have the equipment. 4 medical at once! Can’t see that happening. A medical is now often a full day, this would be an appointment as above then driven back to Sheffield for a fitness test and the player would generally meet the manager at this stage along with his agent. contracts are generally ongoing and even after the medical there will be major decisions to be made. Image rights, pay, loyalty bonus, signing on fees and the biggest one (agents fees) and whose paying them. Always makes me laugh when people say it’s a Free Transfer. There is no such thing as a free transfer anymore. The fee now goes to the agent. Pay him/her what they want and you get your man, hesitate and they go to the club that will without a moments hesitation.
  12. Had his medical today
  13. It’s in the rules and regulations of the EFL. It’s a very common practice used by all clubs, players and agents.
  14. A lot of clubs sign players and don’t announce it until the players contract runs out at the end of June. there has been many instances before where claims have been made by the club holding the registration that the club who have announced the signing of the player should pay the wages from the date the player signed. also players keep quiet as they also get a months severance after the month of June when their contract is expiring for effectively being unemployed. If they announce a new club they have to give up that extra months salary.
  15. Omari Forson available on a free from Manchester United. that would be a coup.
  16. Harrison Burrows is already agreed to go elsewhere
  17. Think you’ll find that if we play a game, the fee will cover the travel of the team and probably 1/2 the trip. That’s how it works.
  18. Paul Heckinbottom turned down the Sunderland job as one of the conditions was that he kept in all the existing coaching staff and was unable to bring his own in as Sunderland didn’t want to have to pay off their own staff.
