  1. Still go with two blokes who I went to school with and for a social pint or two before the match with six others. All sit in and around us. I will not be alone with a dilemma like this. How long have you had a ST, do you go with family or friends? Anyway, it’s a long time away and needs some thought.
  2. The issue for Season Ticket holders come’s in Nov or Dec when season tickets go on sale for 26/27. Do you buy one or not? I’ve had the same seat in the North Stand for 49 years and will not be giving it up lightly. Suggest the Trust needs to be giving this some careful thought. I will not buy anything in the ground and sincerely hope he’s gone by then (obviously).
  3. The club need to say how long this arrangement will be for.
  4. The contractors at the back of the North Stand are re-surfacing the car park (Fanzone) area. Confirmed by one of the shop staff. She also said no work has stated on the N Stand roof as yet. Picture taken this afternoon.
  5. I believe BB lives in Nottingham.
  6. My first meeting with Frank was after a 3-0 away drubbing at Plymouth in a second round FA cup replay in Nov 2021. I’m walking back to the digs at 11:45 after 2 or 3 pints and this bloke stops me and says “ Nah then mate, wheres’t station” . I said not far and pointed him in the right direction. I thought at the time that’s a funny time for a train. I checked the timetable and sure enough there was a slow train to London leaving at 11:55 and arriving in Paddington at 04:45 the next day. Must have got his head down on the train and caught the first one back to Sheffield the following morning. Not bad for an 83 year old. (At the time).
  7. 100% right mate. I left after 60 mins ******** wet through, a lot did the same.
  8. Last time I went in the Peacock was when we last played there, won 2-0 (Murphy and Nuhiu). You had to show a match ticket in the Leeds supporters areas to get in. Was in corporate so I had one. No chance with the wrong ticket, people were trying to blag their way in and were being turned away by the bouncers.
  9. Could one of our Accountant contributors please comment on this
  10. I assume they date from the 60’s when the stand was built. I had a look inside the Sheaf Lounge in 2017 as one of the local breweries were seriously looking at opening a bar in there. I believe there are three on the lower tier of the North. They are just too small, not much of a view either. Don’t know whether they are still unlocked but they were in 2017 when the pictures shown below were taken.. From memory the central room had a load of beer dispensing equipment inside but the Sheaf Lounge was as it was left the last time it was used. Anyone remember going in ?
  11. Its a close one alright but me thinks onside.
  12. Morning Nero My take on the above. The Oxford incident is not shown on the short or extended highlights on Sky, but is during the full match edition on i-follow. After looking at it several times I think what happened was that Stockdale boots the ball into the Oxford half, Flint challenges their centre half in the air who goes down as if he’s been shot. Ref plays on for 2-3 seconds during which time there is a clear handball (by Oxford) on the edge of their box. Ref then stops play for head injury, makes sure CH is ‘OK’ and gives a drop ball to them? The Oxford commentator says, “Ref not being obvious in decision making”, then “I’ve no idea why she has given a drop ball”. With the benefit of watching it several times, she has – Not clearly indicated that play was stopped for a ‘head injury’ and Taken the view that the handball on the edge of the box was not a foul. As this was then the last touch, given the drop ball to Oxford. Lagged a long way behind the play in a critical area and at a critical time of the match. Apologies for the play button on the picture could not (easily) get rid of it.
  13. Rule 8 says 2. Dropped ball PROCEDURE The ball is dropped for the defending team goalkeeper in their penalty area if, when play was stopped: the ball was in the penalty area or the last touch of the ball was in the penalty area In all other cases, the referee drops the ball for one player of the team that last touched the ball at the position where it last touched a player, an outside agent or, as outlined in Law 9.1, a match official
  14. Sorry BJ had a beer. Here is the correct pic
  15. Usually takes me just under 30 mins to get to the Gardeners/Cutlery Works after the match. No doubt you will be quicker than that…. especially at 114mph+
  16. Always knew he'd come good St Johnstone beat Rangers 2-1
