To everyone that went on the pitch
owlthorpe replied to Portland owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Barry Bannan and Liam Palmer said to the first 2 fans, 'we just want to play' that was it. -

It could have gone better with more fans on the pitch although a disruption was probably better that an abandonment for fear of losing support. -

I've put on another thread, I was the second one on from the North Stand and first to the centre circle. I said to Barry Bannan take the players off ( to try to get the game abandoned) he said they just wanted to play the game and Liam Palmer said the same. My mate who ran on first was ejected along with a few others ,we were just ushered back into the North Stand. I will never forget the support from the North Stand , it was quite emotional as we had expected to get boos from most fans, so really grateful for that.Just hope it makes a difference in the right way. It has brought attention to our cause and thanks to the Trust for all their incerdible work.- 184 replies

Lad who went on first got chucked out with another few, we just got ushered back to the North. There was even an oldish lady on the pitch with us so fair play to her. Just hope it makes a difference, but probably not, owt is worth a try. Just wish there was more support for the Trust.

20 will make a difference and get the game disrupted at least. As a form of protest that's the best the fans can do at the moment, doing nothing is what most fans are doing, the other protests have been terribly supported.

I think, totally forget about the results, they will only improve with a change of owner.

'Chansiri out' Banners from Temu , cheap as owt, sneak them in.
-
This is how badly Chansiri is mugging you off
owlthorpe replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
To summarise on the back of all this. Why have all the protests been half-hearted ? Shameful. -
Has anyone else spotted the Chansiri trend yet?
owlthorpe replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Its when there's false rumours of takeovers , they are all a load of poo probably started by Chansiri himself and they are usually just before a protest at a home game. The fans then go back to sleep as if nothing is wrong. -
I've bought 2 'Chansiri Out' flags from Temu with the proper Owl in the middle. There was one last week at Wrexham. We could flood Hillsborough with these on a match day. They are easy to sneak in but they need a fire certificate in theory.! Should be some good photo opportunities, but ,yes I know the stewards won't like it. The trust are doing a great job, I suppose its down to everyone's personal circumstances the risks we all take from here on in to help to get him out. Don't think he would be happy with 'Chansiri Out' plastered on his doorstep.

Deffo storm the pitch, it needs to be organised rather than just words though. From which stand or on how many minutes. ? Wednesday could be 1-0 up, then a pitch invasion would be met with boos although it would be anyway. Its getting more and more support, count me in.

Hopefully things will change Royal Owl soon. (I used to work with you). Leeds game to be boycotted by most, then Swansea game much bigger protests will happen for sure !
-
Its more a case of getting the numbers and running on to the centre circle and staying there. I will do it. Definately needs a bit of organising/meet up (before the Swansea game) but thats the difficult part if anyone has any ideas. I know the Trust can't endorse this but it will happen as long as they don't object.

A must listen (it's a short clip don't worry)
owlthorpe replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Its not in the Wednesday fans DNA to protest was mentioned on Radio Sheffield. Hasn't that struck home !? -
1867 Group rejoin the fight !
owlthorpe replied to andypandy's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
When is the pitch invasion coming, this is just embarrassing now, people booing the whistles, it can't get any worse can it ? We will get fined, so what. The club is dying and we are doing nowt. Chansiri must be laughing to himself, what a weak fanbase. Support the team and not the regime but we won't have a team to support soon.- 75 replies

Some supporters don't know about the Trust and protests.
owlthorpe replied to A47Owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I went to the Trust meeting on Thursday night at the 3 Arches in the town centre. There were only about 60 attended but I learned so much about what has been happening at our club, the Trust are doing a fantastic job. The event had been well publisized on various Wednesday websites. I have always thought the same though about our supporters ,we are the most split fanbase of any. Today could see a variety of protests and mosts fans won't have a clue what is happening. I think our loyal mentality of just supporting the team but not protesting especially at home, is what has got us to this point. Expect one or two whistles today, go on say it, what do you mean whistles ?! -
1 The average mark is far too high, don't know how/why you all feel so confident with this complete shitshow. There's a false rumour every week. No end in sight.

The trust are doing some amazing work but the home protests need to be stronger. Because everything went to plan on Sunday and Wednesday played well , I think everyone has suddenly got complacent and forgetting how Chansiri is single-handedly dismantling our club and purposely not entertaining any buyers. Season tickets holders who sit in the park and do not attend will be disappointed because most of our fans just want to watch the match and not protest. All this 'lets get behind the team' , only happens in the real big games or from the lepp side of the North Stand, its just an excuse to do nothing. A proper protest please, not sure what else Chansiri has to do to make our fans wake up. I think its now or never or the season will just fade away with little or no response. A 5 minute whistle in the ground is very poor.

Would you back a boycott Vs Stoke?
owlthorpe replied to Bassetts Allsorts's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
A stronger protest inside the ground is needed. Don't think you will ever get people to boycott because we are a mild mannered fanbase on the whole and most just want to watch Wednesday. Has everyone suddenly just forgot though on the strength of a decent Wednesday performance and a good protest what Chansiri has done to our club ? We still don't know if the North will be open yet amongst everything else. Yes the protest worked well yesterday but more is needed at home. -
Dejphon had a dream To buy a football team He had no money so we couldn't sign em on loan. He can't save the club, he's spent it on grub. Dejphon Chansiri its time you were subbed.

Each to their own (if we get as far as the Stoke game). Do what you feel will make a difference, if you really want to make a difference ? Some fans just want to watch Wednesday and nothing else. Reading the forums, I think the 10 minute pitch invasion has got mixed reviews but have we come to the point where we must step up the protests or be seen to really weak. Personally, I think the Stoke game is now or never to show what we really think.

Bannan, the catalyst
owlthorpe replied to HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Its fantastic Barry has signed up but it doesn't change anything in the grand scheme of things. Hope he has a good 10 minutes against Stoke. -
100% , a lot of you really aren't reading the room, if we get as far as the Stoke game (which is unlikely), then that will last 10 minutes at the most ,there are a lot of angry fans out there. Most have had enough. Those who want to stay away and sit on your hands fair enough but a lot are going with one purpose in mind.
