  1. Just don’t see where O’Mahony gets the game time here. I think Smith has looked sharp and probably played his way into Röhl’s plans and the first choice strikers are arguably Ugbo and Jamal Lowe. Also I’m amazed given how well Cadamarteri did last season, he’s that far down the pecking order now.
  2. Are we upset with our business so far? I get the impression that some are up in arms about it after last Sunday’s result. I mean Sunderland were hardly Real. They won 4-0 because they were clinical and fair play to them for that but we weren’t outplayed in the way we outplayed Plymouth the other week. We have a problem when we concede first. Have done for sometime particularly away from home. We probably do need some more signings but in all fairness once the window shuts and Röhl knows this is the group we have until January at least then we’ll start to make real progress just as we did when the last transfer window shut.
  3. Very underrated player during his time here.
  4. Totally agree with this. It’s the old Bernard was part of a back four that conceded 4 goals in the last match so is sh!t in comparison with any other player argument. McGuinness was class for us but then again so was Storey. Both had interesting seasons last time out in the championship where they both more than held their own. However McGuinness is off to a side that will challenge for a return to the prem and Storey can’t get into a side at the bottom of the league though that will change now you would think. Both would probably thrive in our current set-up and both would probably come back here given a fair wind but Bernard is here and will improve continuously. What he needs is defenders around him who can not only defend but are comfortable in posession. That’s what we need probably the most at the minute.
  5. It hasn’t quite clicked for Musaba yet but you know what. He doesn’t hide. He always try’s to make something happen and he cares. Who’s the one apart from Bannan geeing up the crowd. He gets this club and he’ll be revered here eventually because he’ll be part of the side that gets us back to the prem. Oh and another thing Ugbo doesn’t come back here without Musaba’s presence. Just try and enjoy them plus the likes of Gassama, Bernard, Cadamarteri, McNeill, Kobacki, Fusire and the group of young lads coming through the academy who are going to make a real difference to this club in the future. Röhl’s not going to f**k it up so neither should we.
  6. Regardless of the we need to sell argument, if we did sell a key player the majority of fans would go nuclear at the prospect.
  7. One of the very few criticisms I have of Moore. He missed a trick with FDB. Easy to say now but he should’ve kept him in the team the season he started like an house on fire.
  8. Calmed down a wee bit after yesterday. Difficult choice for MoM but I went for Beadle mainly for the fantastic save just before H-T for that header. We didn’t play well apart from the first 10 minutes and yes you can argue Sunderland stepped off the gas but we contained them well enough with 3 at the back. I do wonder if Röhl has to seriously consider this formation away from home. It brings out the best in Palmer that’s for sure. See how the rest of the month goes but I still think we’ll be fine as I don’t think we’ll be as off it that much this season like we were yesterday.
  9. A linesman in line with play. Only us could get one of them at the wrong time
  10. Not awkward at all. I mean we’ve not had a penalty for over a year. How many clubs can say that. Bottom line is their some on here who believe in fair play. They may even believe in fairies? I expect us to get shafted because it’s happened countless times over the years.
  11. No not really. Years of supporting Wednesday and never really getting the breaks. For instance the O’Nien goal however valid was a pure guess from the linesman. At the other end we’d have never have got it. We never get cast iron decisions when playing at home. I mean we played really well last week and granted nowhere near this but were Sunderland as dominant in open play as we were. I don’t think they were. I mean the scoreline was bad but to hear the Sky Commentators talk we were throughly outclassed when in all honest we weren’t. Anyway things aren’t as bad as they were this time last year and one thing we did do was bounce back after really bad setbacks so here’s to us beating Leeds 6-0 again in front of the Sky Cameras. It’s been a while
  12. They’re decent enough but it helps when they get protection from refs that neither Musaba or Gassama ever will get while playing for us.
  13. We still have more points than we had last season
  14. What were the odds on a reality check thread?
  15. F**k me that challenge goes in on Clarke then it’s a free-kick and probably a booking. Musaba gets done and gets sod all.
  16. They’ve been the better side because we’ve allowed them to be because we haven’t done what we did last week but have they been better than what they were when they played us very early last season and beat us 3-0. Nowhere near.
  17. This refs another clown.
  18. Without set-pieces they would’ve done f**k all. How many chances have they created from open play? Maybe two or three, nowhere near what we did last Sunday. Anyway looking forward to the we played Real Madrid and we’re going down posts from some on here tonight.
  19. Sunderland have been nowhere near as good as we were last Sunday but Sky are to$$ing themselves off. TBH Sunderland have been clinical nothing more. And you can put as many laughing emojis as you want to this post.
  20. We wouldn’t be getting these touch and go offside decisions particularly at Hillsborough.
  21. So did Peterborough mate
  22. You should’ve waited til F-T before you posted this
