  1. That's me all sorted. Thanks to all those that helped.
  2. I've managed to get one thanks to the kindness of a fellow Owlstalk member. I could do with one more though if anyone else has a spare. Again, a big thank you.
  3. Hi all. I'm still after 2 tickets. If any do come available, please do get in contact. As I've previously said, my flights are already booked so I'll be travelling anyway so will snap your hand off! Thanks in advance.
  4. Agh! Gutted to have missed out but thanks for the offer @epton1867. I’m still looking if anyone ends up with two going spare. Will be travelling from Belfast regardless so if any do come up, please get in contact.
  5. Hi everyone. I’m flying in from Belfast for the QPR game. I always try and take in one away game each season (last season’s was Ipswich…) and as many home games as I can get to. Always knew tickets were a long shot but I book flights months in advance whilst they are cheap. If anyone has (ideally) a couple of IDs going spare - I’d be going with a family member - I’d be very grateful. I’ve read that all tickets are digital (PDF) for this game so could be easily sent. Happy to also donate a little to a charity of your choice. Thanks in advance.
  6. Any late spares going? Four of us without tickets - one travelling from Belfast. Flights booked on fixture release day and always travel for Charlton because we have relatives living in the area. Would take any number of spares, even to get one or two of us in. Thanks in advance.
  7. Missed opportunity to sort this outdated rule out. The world has changed even before Covid. Lots of people move away from the area they grew up in. The fact I’m expected to be able to attend all games living in Belfast, just the same as those living in Hillsborough, is madness.
  8. Thanks for that. Hopefully tomorrow morning then.
  9. Anyone’s tickets been delivered yet? I bought my tickets on Friday and still no delivery. Heading to London tomorrow so only one post day left. I know they can be reissued and picked up at the ground but it’s a pain.
  10. COVID aside, in the modern world many more people are moving away from their birth place/family roots. I live in Belfast and would happily pay for a home and away iFollow season ticket. It wouldn’t stop me coming over for the odd game. Drives me mad that because I’m still in the UK, the outdated broadcast rules treat me the same as someone who lives next door to Hillsborough. Same for anyone a fair distance from Sheffield.
  11. Tickets in hand, from SWFC. I'm in 501.
  12. My tickets are in 501. Bought yesterday.
  13. Just back myself to my local in Reading. Agree with the OP. Can't wait for work Monday...
  14. I live in Reading mate. I'm sure there's a supporters bus free of charge from the station but can't say if they allow away fans. Failing that a taxi will set you back around £10. Too far to walk - when compared to other away days that is. The pub just outside the station is usually full of travelling fans.
  15. DJ isn’t going anywhere, unless he walks, which he won’t. Sacking him would cost the club. It would hit MM in the pocket when he is close to (allegedly) selling up. Though I’m certain MM has our best interests at heart, we are 19th in the league, not 24th, and things can theoretically get better. Though a new owner almost certainly would replace DJ, a football club without a manager is not an attractive investment. Stability, or the impression of stability, adds £s. If current negotiations (that we are led to believe are taking place) collapse, we would – on paper at least – be a ‘risky’ investment and the lack of a manger could even lower our value. The only option then, if MM wants out, would be for him to hire an interim on a short term contract.
  16. Shirts vs skins. Even in the middle of winter.
  17. League table means nothing until after 10 games, and even then in this league much can/will change.
  18. ...because our 11 are better than there 11. Football is simple.
  19. Hate to be a moaner, but someone needs to give Antonio a kick up the arse and tell him to tuck his bloody shirt in for the sake of a photo!
  20. It's already a painful experience...
  21. Dont get me wrong, I'm buzzing after today and I'm usually a supporter of JJ but thought he was terrible today. Buxton ran the right side with no help. Saw JJ numerous times at throw ins on that side point towards anyone but him, didn't show any hunger at all. Great servant over the last few years but time to get rid?
  22. Riverside, straight opposite the station. Away only pub
  23. Just seen other thread. Please delete.
