I never talked about monks or elephants. I'm stating that people who haven't been paid by DC have every right to publicly call him out and bring attention to it. If not being paid is irrelevant in your eyes then we're on very different pages.

He's been taking the p!55 out of us for years, but it's our choice whether or not to buy tickets, merchandise etc. However, not paying your employees for work already done is absolutely abhorrent. Paying wages and suppliers is the most basic principle for any business. He's failed at this several times now, so in my opinion, increasing awareness and coverage of this to leverage or force change is absolutely an appropriate thing to do.

Over the years, DC has made much of respecting him for what he's done. Respect is clearly something he craves (possibly a cultural thing?) So making a fool of him would be a dagger blow. Let's say the players have been paid 70% of their wages? On 70 minutes, whoever has the ball boots it in to touch and the 11 on the pitch sit down claiming to be injured. For a whole minute. People in the crowd twig on and sing "Dejphon Chansiri get out of our club". Unity between fans, staff and players that one man and one man alone has brought shame on the club time and time again. You'd expect this to gain national coverage in the media too, bringing further shame on DC. We've had enough as fans for a long time now, but a joint effort with the players would hopefully help to force the issue.

I hope our match day announcer keeps up his tradition of not saying the name of tomorrow's visitors, it's petty but personally I love it.

I like the extended waterfront intro we've started playing, but after that it's rubbish. Don't understand why we never play "we love you wednesday" as part of pre match as it's an easy one to get fans of all ages singing. However, until we get a decent new PA system, everything will sound rubbish.

I hope this is happening. The one on the North Stand hasn't been fit for purpose since it was installed over 20 years ago!

Noticed we had a bit of a fine tuning of the pre match music yesterday, certainly blended it together better than it was previously, thought it sounded much better. Never understood why we don't have "we love you wednesday, we do" in the pre match playlist though, classic old school wednesday track!

No. I lost patience with it tbh. I have 3 season tickets, 2 are on the same ID and 1 on its own. Out of the three, which I've had prob 20 years, I've been able to renew 1 of them online. Sadly, I'm not remotely surprised.

I got the same earlier today. Rang the ticket office and when I eventually got through, was told that "this was happening a lot" and that "someone will call you back when it's resolved, don't worry, you'll be able to purchase at early bird prices". I've not had a call back.

Wouldn't know. The PA at the back of the North is pathetic....cant hear any music and as for any announcements it's just mumble mumble mumble then you might just catch the last word! It wasn't bad last year but seems to have gone caput over the summer.

They really are rubbish. You just dont get the impact or "bulge" that you see with an all white or striped net. Especially when its 0-0 Joking aside though, someone needs to have a word in the groundsmans ear, get a nice set of crisp white ones up for the weekend.......see if it helps our forwards too! Who is our Groundsman these days?

Yeah i noticed the font was much easier to read! Fair play in correcting it so quickly. The PA on the North was also quite a bit better.....the music was very clear but the announcer still quite unclear and mumbled. Also agree about the nets.......much prefer classic white ones personally but with two wins from two maybe we should keep the blue ones!

Would be interested to know exactly what the "upgrade" has been to the PA system.....if anything its got even worse on the North Stand and i didnt think that was possible!

Looking forward to hearing Waterfront belting out as the mighty Owls enter the field today, such a random tune really but it's something that has just become "ours". Hope the DJ reinstates the extended version like they did for part of last season, it almost sounds like an owl battle call!

Think the DJ has got it almost spot on with the live version of waterfront on loop just before the team comes out.....just need the guitar solo for a few seconds before the battle cry bit then it will be perfect.....oh and a few decibels higher.....Still a bit quiet.

Lily Shelton, who I think was in charge of the stadium cleaners. One of the nicest ladies you could wish to meet. She featured on one of the club videos when they did features on behind the scenes aspects of the club.

Totally agree. Nothing against the idea at all, or promoting sheffield bands and music, it's a great idea, but Waterfront was our iconic walk out theme, end of and should be reinstated! It came on in.my car earlier today and my 3 year old son shouted "it's the Wednesday song daddy! Up the owls!" Say no more.....
