  1. Whilst people are talking about us in this way it can only be a positive for us fans and negative for the owner. I liked the way in the article that he acknowledged the year 1992 being a turning point and clubs going to the wall since then. Shows he has background knowledge and understands football´s problems started with the Premier League and Sky.
  2. Nice idea and I would contribute to this. I have no confidence that anyone at the club will do this and even less that DC would pay for it. So Owlstalk could step up here. You always felt confident with Milan at the helm, not necessarily that we would have the strongest team or that we would get promoted, but just that the club was in safe hands, and we now know that is not something to take for granted. Thank you Milan.
  3. I doubt it. I assumed the username came from that classic piece of commentary during the '91 league cup campaign, not the poster's surname.
  4. Sky should be thanked for nothing. They are a big part of the reason why us and other clubs are in the situation we are in now and why football is down the toilet in general.
  5. Any club worth their salt who is in need of a manager will be taking a good long hard look at DR and having a think about whether they can afford him. And there´s not a lot we can do about it.
  6. Probably the same ones having ago at Rob Staton for asking the difficult questions that need asking
  7. For me it´s a combination of factors, many of which have been mentioned. The ridiculous money and Americanisation of our sport is definitely a big one for me. Also the lack of competitiveness in the Premier League which results from that. It´s slightly better in the Championship but I think we are seeing the parachute teams occupying the top spots more and more. The fact that we aren´t that great at the moment and are probably heading for a lower mid-table finish probably also plays in to it. I bet that if we had won a couple more games this season and were knocking on the door of the playoffs then this thread wouldn´t even be here.
  8. Good effort. Would have been a lot better if you hadn’t got two of the key words in your rallying call completely wrong.
  9. Embarrassing thread title. Pathetic thread
  10. Utterly bizarre the people saying they don´t care if we lose and we shouldn´t be playing the first team. Do they even like football?! This is what football is all about! Tomorrow we have a great chance to go deep into the greatest cup competition in the world, and potentially get an exciting and money spinning tie in the next round. If you are not excited by this or want us to win then I´m afraid you´ve been "sky-ed".
  11. I had no problem with him giving Brown a chance following his decent performances in cup games, but surely you play him in his best position, as a straight swap for Johnson who is out of form. Then bring Iorfa in at CB, or even Palmer with Hunt RWB. Bizarre and worrying that Moore chose the absolute worst option of those 3 choices and threw Brown under the bus at the same time.
  12. Most disappointing thing is we went out without a whimper. No fight, no drive, no ideas. How many efforts on target over the two legs? Seems to me they have the better manager, and better players, almost man for man. So fair play and good luck to them. Both teams got exactly what they deserved.
  13. Flaherty's. Or hop on a train to Sitges and watch it in Tres Quarts with me.
  14. I called the ticket office today to get a refund for the Boxing Day game as i know i won’t be able to go to the rearranged fixture as i live abroad. I got through straight away and they agreed to refund me immediately with no questions. Obviously gutted i won’t get to see Wednesday whilst I’m in the country but very impressed with the service i received today. Well done Wednesday. Merry Christmas all.
  15. Westwood - Ali G Dawson - the elephant crouching down
  16. Just saw them all in an irish bar in Barcelona. Quite a surprise to say the least!
  17. Also looking for four ID's for general sale. PM me if you can help. Thanks!
  18. Looking for four ID's for general sale please! PM me if you can help :)
  19. Still looking for two Watford tickets if anyone can help.
  20. Go for it Mark, I will sit it out and hopefully get two.
  21. Many thanks for the offer. Ideally I need two tickets, otherwise one of us is going to be pretty annoyed/jealous. I will wait and see if anyone has two together, or an extra one to add to yours (would sit separately if necessary).
  22. I see Watford tickets have sold out this morning before reaching general sale. I would be extremely grateful if anybody has two tickets for the game that they could sell me. I have a friend who lives in London and we have planned to go to this game for ages. My train tickets are booked and I will be gutted if we can't go to the game. I would be prepared to pay over the odds (within reason!). Please PM me or reply to this if you can help. Many thanks!
  23. This is a joke. There is no more snow forecast between now and Saturday. If they can't get the game on then serious questions should be asked.
  24. Agree it is poor. I have a mate who lives right next door to the Orient ground and I wanted to go down and see the game with him and make a weekend of it. But I don't want to buy train tickets until I know I have match tickets. I presume it is Orient's fault for not letting us have the allocation as Wednesday are normally quite quick getting tickets on sale. We did get loads last year though so fingers crossed.
