Me and eldest were talking about similar tonight. I think you’ve not included solidarity & basic payments. He was losing circa 6.5m per year - of which 2.5m was an accounting trick of sorts for the ground rent. So we think he had to save 4m per season. We’ve lost 15 players inc loans saving circa 110k per week. With the embargo about to be lifted he will be able to bring in circa 4 players on the max 7k per week limit. If the takeover is really on, it’ll be more players than that. The next 3 weeks in August will be very telling .

I think there is defo something in this. I bumped into an ex Sheff Utd player (we don’t know each other, chance) we got talking and Wednesday came up when he asked who I supported. He says some of “the lads” know a few of the Wednesday players and the chat was there was supposedly a player statement to be issued today, but the PFA has advised them not to do it. And the non payment of players is the tip of the iceberg. In essence, think of a supplier, any one of them. Not one has been paid in some cases for months.

Sometimes it’s difficult to read and digest the truth. Let’s be honest, their findings are hardly groundbreaking. We ALL know Lep Lane stand is an H&S issue. Dynamically risk assessed based on the opponent and their support, it’s been like this for years. Nothing will change for the foreseeable. That’s uncomfortable for a lot of people. But until it’s condemned, the status quo will not change.

I hadn’t noticed at all until I took the photo but now I can’t unsee them. Wearing it though, even from a short distance they’re not visible so pretty decent. Way better than the home ones imo.
