Me and eldest were talking about similar tonight. I think you’ve not included solidarity & basic payments. He was losing circa 6.5m per year - of which 2.5m was an accounting trick of sorts for the ground rent. So we think he had to save 4m per season. We’ve lost 15 players inc loans saving circa 110k per week. With the embargo about to be lifted he will be able to bring in circa 4 players on the max 7k per week limit. If the takeover is really on, it’ll be more players than that. The next 3 weeks in August will be very telling .

I think there is defo something in this. I bumped into an ex Sheff Utd player (we don’t know each other, chance) we got talking and Wednesday came up when he asked who I supported.
