Might be fishing but it's a subject that needs to be discussed and there's a massive difference between running down the clock with possession of the ball and time wasting. One is part of the game one is cheating. Game Management is just a term banded about but what does it actually cover.
I'm all for running the clock down by keeping possession and if somebody wants to shield the ball in the corner and let defenders bounce of them that's good strong hold up play. Falling to the floor and rolling about like you've been shot is cheating plain and simple.
I've not seen what happened yesterday but over the years cheating has become more prevalent and needs stamping out. Some of the worst ive witnessed included managers clearing balls 40 yards down the touchline to delay throws. Refs need to be strong and forget the rubbish about spoiling a game and punish teams that cheat. If that means people being sent off so be it they will learn to manage the game in the right way
