  1. No one should be going. Season tickets holders at a stretch, turn up , sing for 10 minutes and walk out as long as 17/18k keep going , no one is obligated to miss out because they didn't pay for a season ticket last Christmas. unity runs both ways
  2. Be better off not leaving the ground. Lock in and get him to pay for the stewards and police.
  3. I once went to Bristol city away on a sunny afternoon and got so drunk my step brother and I were given a caution for wrestling in nothing but our pants in the middle of a high street having stopped traffic for 5 minutes. Reyt away day.
  4. Would be a great kit if it's didn't have that silly writing on it. Honestly when this fool has gone we need a proper kit task force. I don't know ow who signs the designs off but this year's kits with the text are just plain awful.
  5. I agree with all that I would also add safe standing on the north in T maybe T1, away at home vibes. A family section not in roof of the South attracting kids towards the pitch and mascots etc. Probably EE and maybe DD1. Controversial one, but my youth memory is celebrating goals away from home singing the Triumphal March by Verdi . We should bring back goal music . Tinpot to some but I see it work at QPR , Ipswich and many others as moments of unity after a goal. Personally I would probably change the walkout music to something more connected to sheffield. But I know people feel very tied to waterfront. An instrumental of monkeys Brainstorm would do for me. Aggressive , written in sheffield and has a perfect fade out at about 1 minute 15 in. There are so many other changes i would make but alas it ain't up to me or any of us at the moment
  6. It's that this is our badge. Bring it back and leave it alone. It looks great on the third kit. It looks good on the stadium and good everywhere. Once the fool is out. make it happen The retro badge we bought in is the retro one. The 56-70. Stick that on some nostalgic gear and gives us our pooping embarrassed owl back. Ta
  7. You stop there and every defender can just hit the deck as soon as they are beat. Refs don't stop games for genuine injury unless it came from a foul, in which case they may delay a free kick, head injury or have concern for the welfare of the player. Beyond that getting injured is just part of the game.
  8. When I was about 13 I got the gold, black and white 99 away strip printed we 8 utd(don't ask) on the back. There was a mix up at the sports shop and they printed Man Utd instead. For some daft reason I wore it anyway to Wimbledon away in early 2000. After going nuts watching Sibon make it 0 - 2, some bloke tapped me on the shoulder asked me why it says what it says. I just shrugged but remember feeling quite embarrassed. Through it in the bin outside selhurst park. Maybe over reacted a bit. I think it was my first match I was allowed to go to on my own ( we lived in london) and I felt somehow I had pissed people off or failed somehow. You know how kids are.
  9. Well Iike Carlton Palmer but then he admits on a podcast that he would drink Brandy in the tunnel as he was walking out ...it makes you wonder
  10. Crap just seen it elsewhere Delete me !
  11. Des Walker.... Couldn't see it posted already
  12. Charlton east stand was built in 92 replacing Lowfields
  13. It may be the quote was from a while ago maybe 2010 or something. Even still.
  14. I read today that Wednesday are one of only two clubs who have built neither a new stadium nor stand in the last 40 years in the football league. I can't verify it but if that's true is feels quite symbolic. The other is QPR who stand wise are almost completely restricted from expansion and have been talking about moving from Shepherds Bush for a while
  15. Yes but by attending you create a division. The allowed and not allowed. People will still go if they don't see STs making a stand. Like a picket line. Everyone wants to watch Wednesday. Just because you paid earlier doesn't mean everyone else gets locked out and you get to have your Saturday whilst someone else and their kid sits at home. Unity is the way
  16. Seems a bit exclusionary. Your basically saying that if you could afford to buy up front you get to go, if not , your a scab for turning up. It's 500 quid mate. Not exactly the Queens purse The protest is symbolic. You stay away to make a point not because it feels like a waste or money, that was paid months ago. As long as ST holders keep going so will others. If any it's the STs who should setting the example. Turning up can't be 2 tier. It has to be a unified movement. Otherwise all we have is half a fan base protesting. Especially given that the ones who did go today did sod all after about 5 minutes.
  17. Relax , we are as good as relegated. Just enjoy the ride and watching the youth come through and maybe some cup runs. Getting a result against them lot is probably our season this year. The best we can probably hope for is to go down swinging. Last year we only finished like 3 wins above relegation...with a squad and Rhol.
  18. I'd say they started OK. Ipswich played very anti home team and essentially said here's the ball, have a go and we'll catch you on the break. Which they did time after time. In that first 20 minutes they basically passed it around alot but no shots on target in the entrie first half. There was zero end product. Brooks looked awful and O'hare was kind of hustling around picking up loose balls but then not good enough with the ball , plus Ipswich would just squeeze them out and break. Being their live it was very obvious that if Ipswich got 1 it would become 4 or 5 or more.
  19. Was there tonight . We should he very fearful. They'll run us ragged. Their squad just got stronger as well. Even of we make it to 60 minutes there is no way we'll compete the full 90. But that's most games this season. I mean they just signed a 20 million quid Norwegian ffs .
  20. Also seems to watch completely different football matches. His post press conferences are deluded. Blades players stood in front of away end at the end looking glum. The only hate was towards the manager and ownership. Gone tomorrow or Monday.
  21. Definitely the Hirst one . Howler. Second one have seen that 1000 times..trying to be big and then can't down quick enough.
  22. In Ipswich and bagged a free ticket to watch Blades tonight. Christ they are bad. Just nothing there at all really. Even with 12 defenders in the squad. Ipswich gave them the ball and waited for them to break down before charging them for at least 4 of the 5. 6s and 7s at the back against Philogene. Selles is a gonna. After 3 some of their fans left and otbers just turned thier back and were chatting away or getting into some banter with home end. Fair play though last 10 minutes they sang their hearts out. One of those sort of resilience, we'll always be here type moments out of desperation. I know we are in the poo and almost certainly down but in a way I felt like their position, for now, is almost worse on the pitch. We can get behind our lot as long they work their socks off ,expectations are almost zero. With them it almost makes no sense and must be very painful. Speaking to a couple before they hate the board/owners. Have no faith in them at all. Which is ironic given it wasnt long ago we were told that they were in a great position. I do fear for us down there later in the year. They have serious pace and break so quick. Depth in the squad especially after signing Nunes and Jack Clarke who both look decent. Thought atmosphere was great. Safe standing and a drum and willing fanbase is all you need especially under the lights for genuine experience.
  23. Wednesday Is valued at about 35-40 million which is revenue x 2.5 plus a bit for some assets. Given that he "bought" the stadium to fiddle the books for 60 million and now wants 100. It would appear that he expects to get his money back. Which is ridiculous as his purchasing of the stadium was a tax fiddle that he needed to do in order to ward off the HMRC. So yes in a way it is the stadium but only in the sense that he is pricing everyone out by creating a valuation that may make sense mathematically to a 3 year old but is completely unrealistic. Probably deliberate just he can say 'no one has met my valuation".
  24. The company was forging signatures and opening bank accounts in thier name without thier knowledge. They also forged wives signatures. They were also lying about being involved in the property investments and pretending that they were acting on behalf of clients when they were actually the developer. that's not bad advice...
