  1. Not sure if already covered but Marvin is signing for Lincoln today........... good move for him I think..
  2. Whereabouts you living in Denmark @owls maniac.  Was lucky enough to live there for a couple of years and really loved it.

Was based in Viborg, and recently returned to visit friends there. Just reminded me of how lovely the country and people are.

Yes mate - but hoping to visit our friends again in the future.  We visited Copenhagen for three days getting the Flixbus from Viborg over and staying for 3 nights. I'd been before whilst living in Denmark, but think I enjoyed it more visiting again.

When I was over there I had a Danish girlfriend (Kitti) and I ended up bringing her back to the UK when my time ended.  Unfortunately it didn't work out as her parents were missing their grand-daughter too much - so she returned to Denmark.  I did keep in touch and we are still friends.

Ah sorry to hear that mate, but great that you are still friends. I think Danes generally feel very connected to their country, and even those who do travel abroad almost always want to come back at some point. They definitely have a much richer sense of community than what we have sadly lost in the UK over the last few decades. I don't see myself staying here forever, but it has been a wonderful experience and I will always feel a connection to the city and country.

Yes I agree with that - wish I had taken the jump a few years back - but work didn't permit.

  3. Apparently England's players will not be voting in the upcoming elections. They can't even find the box, let alone put a cross in it...
  4. Arsenal U-18 match postponed as team bus drives to Bournemouth instead of Brighton https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/arsenal-u-18-match-postponed-as-team-bus-drives-to-bournemouth-instead-of-brighton
  5. Which Mod in particular...?
  6. Any spare tickets should be given to local schools and any kids on detention should be forced to attend...... that'll learn them..
  7. I see he has told Doncaster he isn't playing in Division 2....... I've got a feeling that Darren Moore will want to link up with him again...?
  8. I agree with this also - and let's not forget they also had 4 or 5 first teamers missing with either Covid or injuries - including two attacking players. I think they looked a tidy outfit and will be OK when they get a settled squad. Some of their fans were proper idiots - but every team have diickhead supporters - and it was a big away-day for them....
  9. I think the Moore move has pissed a few of them off. Never really had beef with them.... barely noticed them TBF.
  10. Watch them stick 3 past us now eh.......
  11. I'm only giving a point of view....... but once Moore had spoken to DC and discussed his pay rise, there was little chance of him staying at Donny. Would you try and hold a manager to his contract when he had been tapped up and offered a much better package elsewhere? Most of my Donny mates are now happy that he left. The wheels were gradually beginning to loosen and it was perhaps only a matter of time in their opinion before he was found out. One thing they said to watch out for were his monotonous and mechanical pre and after match reports, which were 'bingo like' in there repetitive nature...
  12. I have a few Rovers mates and there opinion is that Donny didn't have much choice in selling Whiteman - the lad wanted to go to a club nearer his roots - and knowing that, they did what any other League 1 or 2 club would have done and sold him for the best price they could get. Moore had apparently lost his last 4 or 5 games at Donny and was being tapped up...... again, they did what any club in the same situation would have done and reluctantly let him talk to Wednesday.... they then took the compensation and dusted themselves off. The same thing happened the year before to them also, when Grant McCann left them for Hull...
  13. Nice bit of humour from Wolves. They are claiming they were PL champions in 2018 having finished 7th behind the breakaway six.
  14. Although - if they were in isolation - they would still be able to instruct on what players they wanted...... before the window closes.
