  1. Yeah, could be that. Just isn't particularly clear on the website. Thought it said £30 on Friday for adults. Then added booking fee and postage at the end. But today it says £31.
  2. I bought 4 Charlton tickets on Friday cost £30 adult £17 Under 18. Bought another adult ticket today cost £31 on the website. On the email confirmation it says £30 Adult, Booking fee £1 Total £32. Anyone know if this is allowed, a price increase mid sale ? Maybe another sign of how desperate he is for money
  3. What May needs is the kind of balls inbetween the defenders to run onto. Exactly like Watford did time after time today. This where his strength is. Look at his goals in Scotland. All from situations like this. We don't do this therefore we're not playing to his strengths. Therefore he won't score goals. Our midfielders don't have the ability to play such a ball anyway !
  4. They won't reveal the price until after the 8th June. It's the way it works. It encourages people to purchase early. Get money in the clubs pocket early. Those who don't run a risk of going into the unknown. It's always been like this.
  5. Look at the teams who are successful at the top of this division. All established championship sides with experienced championship players. We haven't got the money to go out and spend big like Cardiff, Blackburn, Notts Forest to some extent Huddersfield. One thing we have got over all these is a dam good manager for at this level. I would have Dave Jones over any other manager in this division. What we need is patience. If this season means 4th bottom so be it. We will be more experienced for it. A prime example is Middlesborough. They've been flapping about for a season and a half with Tony Mowbray. Now look at them. That could very easily be us in a season or two. Has sacking Jewell at Ipswich brought immediate change. Clearly not. Lets be patient and the rewards will come.
  6. And this weeks scapegoat is ……
  7. Unless we relocate to below the M25 then Redknapp will never be Wednesday manager.
  8. We can't keep sacking managers every time we hit a bad run. Jones should be given time to build his team for this league, time for his chosen players to gel together. We have taken a massive step from league one to the championship. Jones knows this league, what it's about and what it takes to be a success in it. Now if he says these players are good enough to do that then I'm with him. And who else would we get, who else would we want ? Redknapp, never gonna happen. Who else ? Nobody. I've not seen one of the Jones out brigade come up with a reasonable replacement. We've got one of the best managers out there for this level. It's gonna be a rough ride. But back him and I'm confident we'll reap the rewards.
  9. Didn't Irvine win his first 5 games in charge ?
  10. The long throws stopped in the bury game after half time. I suspect this was due to us getting no success what so ever from any long throw in the first half. It was poor. Everyone they won and cleared. It's just giving possession away in the final 3rd. Putting us on the back foot as all our defenders are then stuck in there box. I think they've been told to take them short and retain possession.
  11. I'm finding it really difficult not to be angry with Milan. But you only have to watch sky sports tonight to realise if it wasn't for him we'd be in the poo poo like all the clubs on there tonight. Portsmouth, Port Vale, Rangers, Dunfermline. We'd be lucky to have got anybody near the quality of Megon and Dave Jones then
  12. Lincolnowl. I'd have Megson back in a heartbeat. I've never been as gutted to see a manager sacked. Its nothing to do with happy clapping. The stark reality is if we gain promotion the swing towards this been the right decision will gain momentum. If we then hit the ground running in the championship. It will be ", oh yeh I think I remember him" Football fans are fickle. Me, you, the next man. We all want one thing. Success. How many pigs have come crawling back in shame now. The way some people are going off. That will be them. I'm still angry and hurting. But I'm also realistic.
  13. I'm as disappointed, upset, angry as all other Wednesday fans. What do we want a protest, Jones out, Megson back, Milan out etc etc. Please let's conduct ourselves with more class than that scum across the city. Do we want to look as stupid as they do, after there shameful Wilson Out protests, 6 months on if we are successful. Megson has gone. Dave Jones is here. Let's get behind him and the team and finish the job Megson started.
  14. Playing JJ would have been suicide today. His lack of defensive ability and discipline may well have cost us. We've setup with Sedgwick and Prutton to be solid against a good passing MK Dons side. JJ will return against Yeovil when we can be attacking and take the game to em. Look a point away at the MK Dons isnt bad by any means
  15. MK Dons are a good passing side. Having Sedgwick and Prutton in there kept us solid. Playing JJ and allowing him to go racing forward would be suicide. MK Dons would just pick us off. I can see why Megson picked this team and formation today. I expect JJ to be back in against Yeovil
