  1. Yeah true, let's hope there's some qualified people put in charge for a change with some experience of holding people to account as well as negotiating skills from a neutral standpoint. Certainly a step in the right direction.
  2. She's obviously getting mixed up with Cardiff. It doesnt ooze confidence in their ability to grasp the details if she allegedly spoke to our fans and that is the information that has stuck in her memory.
  3. 'Watershed moment' for English football Nandy highlighted some of the future changes supporters will see, now the bill has been passed into law. "For fans like Sheffield Wednesday, who I spoke to at the start of this journey, it will mean you can't have the colours changed without fans being in the room and part of the decision-making process," she said. "For Wimbledon supporters it will mean your stadium can't be relocated without you having a say. It will put fans back in the rooms where decisions are made, it will mean all clubs have to reach the standard of the best clubs." At least the priorities are there and they're on the ball with our issues.
  4. Maybe for a solvent business with no history of failed payments. Not in this situation though. I suspect you held the deposit money and didn't spend it in your business. It's clear DC has run out of money. £5m deposit will likely be used to pay back wages and upcoming bills. Then WHEN he inevitably changes the sale terms, consortium pulls out. Can we have our £5m back now? Where then is DC going to get £5m to pay them back when he can't fund current wages?
  5. Yeah I knew that was always the case but for some reason thought a year or two they changed it which annoyed everybody - doesn't appear to be the case so got that wrong. Probably read it on here .
  6. I thought that changed a year or two ago to be included in all costs? Perhaps not. I'm pretty sure though that if you've got that amount of wealth buying a club you're going to look after the infrastructure. Just because something hasn't been said, doesn't mean it isn't going to happen. Not sure we'll ever see a prospective buyer that can barely get their foot in the door publishing a full business plan to satisfy the inpatient needs of a few.
  7. He also said that members of the consortium are individually worth tens of millions, a few 100's millions and combined a couple of billion. So I don't think that wealth is an issue. He was referring to what is allowed to be spent. No club is allowed to have lose more than £13m per season. So if we have owners that lose £20, per season, we'll be in trouble again for breaching FFP/PSR rules.
  8. Different sport but still banned from being a director due to not paying taxes. Could be around the corner. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn4gpdz0yd2o
  9. I think everybody agrees who is to blame here. With regards to Symon, I don't think it hurts to have somebody playing good cop. Plenty of deserved criticism everywhere else. From what I heard listening to his words rather than any preconceived emotional impressions of the bloke, sounded like a good response. People complaining about he only wants to benefit himself, I don't agree with. he said himself he'd love to if the opportunity arose but not what is driving him on. Is that any different to anybody else on here? Would be great to work for club you support in fantastic working conditions wouldn't it? The bigger ultimate picture is to get the club sold ASAP. If that means one person taking the heat for it, he's already said on the interview he can handle it, though no need for anybody to be abusive etc. to him or Adam. He's clearly getting an audience with him so credit for that. If it works, great, well done. If it doesn't, it won't be because of what he's doing. I'd take what he says about his personal feelings towards DC with a pinch of salt. No point getting worked up about it though. It's clear he knows far more and has done far more than the vast majority of people who are complaining about him. The world doesn't need to be an even more angry place. Other than the poor staff, nothing is going to happen to us mere mortals on here. Not our millions disappearing from our bank accounts each and every day.
  10. And you think bread is the problem?
  11. In apple pips as well I heard, I still give apple cores to my lab, she loves them. Also has all the dropped apples whole from a tree in the garden. Still going at 10 years old. I guess technically, yes there's some in there, but must have to have it in high doses to be a problem.
  12. First they should do immediately is submit a 5 year sponsorship deal for £250m a season. Then withdraw it due to the likely scenario of goalposts moving. Then when they takeover we can justify a ludicrous sponsorship deal as we can say one was previously submitted before takeover to get around FFP/P&S.
  13. Exactly the same as me. Terrible first half, felt like a training game with little effort. Switched over to Liverpool game then saw my phone keep pinging with goals going in.
  14. Betfair Exchange. Layed relegation at average odds of 2.14 23rd December, backed at average odds of 16.85 last week.
