If it was my lad I would be absolutely fuming about the management of him as a developing player. The farce of the pre-season, meaning the players almost certainly weren't up to speed fitness and preparation wise. Thrown into first team football, in a toxic / depressed atmosphere. Playing through an injury. The utter chaos around the club. Unpaid wages. If it was my son, even as a Wednesday fan, I'd be looking at getting him out of the club as soon as possible. This is where Chansiri has us. And this will spiral as the season progresses. It's got to come to a head soon, one way or another. God knows why Man Utd sent us their kid on loan, and who advised him it would be a good move. Absolutely crazy. Chansiri is a disgrace, hiding away, no communication, with fans, but even worse, with the staff of Sheffield Wednesday. The disdain I have for him is now off the scale. The situation is beyond a joke, and depressingly, it is going to get a lot, lot worse.

Fair play to him and good luck. Cracking statement, and the non-thanks to Chansiri speaks volumes. I can see many more following, this could be a grim few weeks. On the back of a long term injury to one of our better young players, thrown in at the deep end and playing through injury. Disgusting in itself. This could be a house of cards. 'If the fans want me to sell, I'll sell'. Do it then you utter disgrace, coward, pathetic (insert swear word here).

Sheffield Wednesday vs Bristol City OMDT
Otley Owl replied to Maddogbob's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I do get where you’re coming from, but as soon as the fans start turning on the players and managers, the defeats will go from 2, 3, 4 nil to 6, 7, 8 nil. The club is in utter chaos. The full effects of a joke pre season, injuries and exhaustion haven’t even taken effect yet. As hard as it is, the players and manager have to be backed. I get a bit of criticism, but anyone blaming this on anyone other than Chansiri, is honestly have no words. -

I apologise for my criticism of your opinion though, it was too strong. I agree to a point, he was incredibly frustrating to watch.

Eh? No-one is ‘playing the mental health card’. I’m interested in knowing how and why the football leagues 3rd highest scorer over the last 2 decades underperformed so badly for us. As I mentioned, he mostly looked lost for us. It may have been a loss of form, desire for the game, fitness, management, it could be due to anything really. But I don’t know, and I’m pretty sure you don’t either.

Letter to the King of Thailand

Oh come on. There's a line. This is plain embarrassing -
As always, the answer will usually be somewhere in-between two very different points of view. There's actually not that many player's stories I'm that bothered about hearing, But Rhodes' interests me, particularly his thoughts on signing for a club he had a genuine connection with, what went wrong and why, and that penalty. In a world where we now at least consider mental health, the 'wet wipe prancing' stuff is pathetic though. As I said before, he will be up there for me as one of our worst signings. His fault? No. And I'd love to hear the true story.
-
Shame, and a surprise to hear he's retired at a relatively young age. But he was awful for us. Effectively our worst ever signing, despite strong competition. Looked utterly lost throughout his time at Wednesday. Clearly an excellent player at his peak, hard to pinpoint what went wrong for him. Playing for us during our mental ownership obviously didn't help. Wish him all the best.

Love the positive outlook, but mine has gone. Great that Man Utd loaned him to us, and even better that they've effectively helped us out, almost to charity levels. And I've heard cracking things about him. Under normal circumstances, a cracking loan signing. Under these circumstances, well good luck lad. Had we not sold / released our better players, and been left with a threadbare squad with a bunch of kids as backup, great. Good luck. Character building I suppose. Hope he thrives amongst the chaos. Thanks Chansiri, you utter ********.

Middlesbrough well on top with possession and shots. Pigs should be down to ten. No doubt they’ll somehow win 1-0 and ruin my accumulator before the 3pm games -
Extra in lord of the rings. bumped into him in Harrogate Sainsbury’s a few weeks ago. No real opinion on him based on that though.

Good post. (One of) the many problems with Chansiri is, when he should be staying quiet he rants, raves, and embarrasses the club. When he should be talking, explaining the situation, offering hope or reassurance to players, staff and fans, he's completely quiet. Or even worse, actually hiding - the actions of a coward. Beyond contempt now.

Why not make a push on the Just Giving initiative? https://gofund.me/c7c2ff82 A pinned post at the top of the site would be good. (Hoping this is the official one! ) -

Leeds - all gate receipts to charity

Boycott. Put what you can into a go fund me account to pay staff wages / hardship fund. -
My name too. I was talking to myself.

Fair and interesting points, but important to remember they were a team of kids playing after a debacle of a pre season.

Needed an exclamation mark.

Big opportunity for the Trust - BOYCOTT LEEDS

100% agree a boycott of this game is the way forward. Alongside a massive push for a go fund me style collection for staff wages / emergency fund. -

Under normal circumstances, I would enjoy going to this game, and absolutely would go. But I agree, it's a very, very good chance for a full boycott. Hard to do, but a very good chance. I hate that we have to discuss this, but that's on Chansiri. And I think you would be surprised about the Leeds fans joining in, if it is organised and requested early.
