Absolutely utter gash, a total coward who scored a few worldies so everyone thinks is OK. He played well for us for about 6 weeks when we were in the mire, other than that he was a joke. Classic chansiri signing.

I don't get the criticism here, that's about as low as we can go. Unless I'm mistaken they count tickets sold, not the click of the turnstile....so 17-18k season ticket holders are included if they are in the ground or not. Add some away fans on and we're rarely going to be below 20k. I read that attendance as a right result... there's been no POTG....

I'm not sure I've ever disliked a Wednesday player as much, I'm angry even thinking about him! What a coward. Ticker won't take it so its a no from me!!

I loved Joe root, I grew up with spineless middle orders and worshiping the odd hundred here and there. Then a sheffield lad came along who could bat... then he turned into a truffle nudging snortbeast. Now I don't. I'll tell the truth, you're a great batsmen but a tactically inept clown who couldn't run a bath never mind a cricket team.

Not because we've the owner we have and the money they've got, because of a few fans. Tell you what, send me your bank details and I'll send you a tenner to spend in the grip shop, you might get one for that.
-
Realism that they're about 250m quid in front of us. Football is broken, it's not like the old days, nothing matters but brass and they've had a lot more than us.
-
Rugby is a bunch of fat lads pushing each other with a terrible catching ability. The fact we let someone go because they were too small is criminal. Typical Wednesday over many years.

I was in the away end that day, the second he hit it my pal said 'that's in' and went up, honestly felt like a lifetime between that and celebrating, I think that's one of my happiest moments, that little split second of hope and realising its joy Perfect.. hope the 2k get a bit tomorrow

I'm in that camp, I really do not like we've signed a blade. It doesn't sit right at all. I thought that about Gregory and despite all he's done it's still a niggle, and I know that's pathetic, but football is, that's the joy...sad arguments and wins over things that don't actually matter .. anyway, parking all that... ffs, he's utter gash.
-
Ah, the old sheffield curse... let's measure ourselves against them lot and them lot only.... that's not held either team back for decades. They're all out tonight.
-
Has there ever been a more selfish set of bell ends at any club? We want to do this and sod the rest of you, we can drown anyone out. Pathetic people.
-
Errr, watch the video. If you can't compute that he thinks he's better than that lass (because if he didn't think that he wouldn't have done it, I don't even know where to start with what type of person does that or hangs about with people who do) and she should be subject to his will and humour and disdain then you're a lost cause. He's a total piece of sh4t and nothing else.
-
He's the strength of a mild fart, the touch of an elephant and clearly the mental attributes of a total arrogant tw5t. But other than that.....
-
To be an absolute pathetic thrower on the pitch, then to match that and better off it is some going. Fair play, if you're going down the massive c6nt route then you might aswell smash it, and he has. Weapon.

Would you still go in the 4th tier?

I'll always go. -
Hoarding a pile of money!? We're losing millions on millions every year, all by his decisions admittedly but the whole clap trap that hiking ticket prices somehow makes him wealthier really gets on my ******** as its so pathetically out of synch with reality. It makes him lose less money, yes, of course it does... but hoarding cash. Get a grip of the real word of football. For the record I'm a very vocal anti chansiri but reality needs to be acknowledged. The reason we lose money is because income is less than expenses, the expenses are decided by chansiri and thus his fault and arguably his problem (our club etc etc aside) but the way football is you almost have to lose money. The whole pyramid is knackered. I'm in no way defending the running of the club but people saying he's hiking prices to line his pocket are either thick as mince or... well, no, they're thick as mince.

Lost my dad before my little one came along. I've got to say that is an absolutely superb picture. Bravo sir.

Yep, I'll be honest, they were good and thet fair assessment from fellow owls is superb and in keeping with our class. However they're a bunch of bitter inbred two hats and I'm lowering myself to their standards for an hour or two and pissin me sen, unlucky, you dingle ******** wombles!! I hope you implode and get relegated next season! Oooo, feels nice that!
-
A great statement, because he was. I'll never forget him sprinting across the pitch or on the end of season videos. We'll still comment now that when a physio is slow he's no Alan Smith, an absolute legend and I'm genuinely gutted he's gone. A lot of these threads lose steam after a few posts and are a nice RIP, I hope this shows and his family knows just how much he was loved by The Wednesday.

Come on Man up, who returned their ticket this week?
big_al1985 replied to OzOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
But why not? Some supporters are better than other's aren't they? Is one who goes to every match not a better supporter than the one who just goes to one? Said it numerous times but I really don't get why it bothers people, do the same analogy with a band and no one cares, throw football in and everyone gets their back up... -

You've also just nailed my point, there are a lot of people who have excuses not to go, always something on until a big game comes around, I've loads of mates like that, they cba turning up on a Tuesday but then moan they cant get tickets somewhere. Support is hierarchical, You put in the effort you get the rewards. I'm a 5 out of 10 wednesdayite, I'll get to every home match but no chance of away, you know why, because better supporters get them first and i prioritise my family. I am not as good as others, you may get irked by that and again I apologise but for me, its just the truth -

A very fair post mate, apologies if it irked. Its not just monetary though, its effort, its time, its all the work involved in supporting the club. If someone puts in more effort, more time and yes more money than I do then they are a better supporter of swfc than me. I'm going to see the arctic monkeys in Sheffield, I've a couple of albums. There will be people in that crowd who have pictures on their wall, every album, go to every gig, stand at the front... they're bigger fans of the arctic monkeys than I am. Why is this rationale not acceptable in football? Genuine question. -

Errr have you read my post? I'm saying a lot of people are much better supporters than I am, I've no issue with that, I think that's the truth, they put more into the club than me. Not exactly saying I'm an uberfan am I. I still don't get why people get so wound up by this.... -

Yes we are all WAWAW, but some people put more in than others, more money, more effort, more time. I really don't understand why this offends people, a guy I know has been to every game this season with his lad, home and away. He is a better supporter of swfc than I am, he's made more effort, he's been there more, he's injected more into the club.... i really don't get peoples issue with stating the truth.
