They stood out a mile. Even though we think we may have been decent players ourselves and had the odd outstanding game, it isn't until you come up against pros, even lower league pros, you realise you probably aren't/weren't THAT good! I used to play 5 a side against Mark Rhodes, who played for Rotherham in late 70s early 80s, up at Concord on a Monday night. He'd not been long retired and, according to Rotherham fans was nothing special, but he was on a totally different level amongst us wannbes! Couldn't get near him never mind get the ball off him and he could make you look stupid whenever he felt like it!! A nice bloke of very few words.

It was a great performance and a good game, but to get giddy about beating Arsenal reserves in the League Cup is a bit embarrasing and shows how low our expectations have fallen.
