  1. Really like the look of him, reminds me of Mark Smith with his football intelligence. We need to not put too much pressure on him though. A youngster playing in such an important position will get done and make mistakes at some point, we need to be supportive of him throughout this season.
  2. My walk was Monteney school part of Wordsworth to S6. That triggered numerous memories for me, walking ever nearer with excitement growing, yearning to get there. Looking forward to the last stretch and getting through the turnstiles, uplifted by thoughts of prior games navigating the crowds as I rushed directly to my spot on the kop, taking every step with a spring, awaiting the resumption of the drama that will inevitably unfold. Mick Lyons who never shirked a challenge. Meggo the ginger dynamo, and Zico!!! Chapman scores after Marwood gets over another peach of a cross. Imre veradi carrying the ball up the pitch, every step getting nearer to us, then releasing a thunder blaster - goal! Unleashing the energy of masses of people standing on the kop. Irresistible through our fitness and suffocating the opposition. The was no room to move when we hosted Liverpool, people crammed in every inch of space. End of the game, everyone was high, now to get to get to the bus stop, down the steps, out and left, 2p paid. Got to come back to reality now, apathy and sadness rules. But it's a matter of time before better times end this current purgatory. ----- Written on my phone, so sorry for any format issues if your not reading this on your phone.
  3. Monteney School stretch of Wordsworth Avenue to S6
  4. Finally caved in and fired up FC25 for the first time this season. Downloaded the updated player database...... We've got the same squad as last season. Exited FC25
  5. Understand your view on that, but when we consulted with residents when developing the world cup bid plans there was overwhelming positive support for development....
  6. Same as Anfield, redevelopment of S6 would be done with CPO (Compulsory Purchase Order) programme on the nearby housing, plus I would still do CPO on the industrial units opposite the kop/south stand road entrance...
  7. On the airstrip and neighbouring land at the Sheffield airport. Still prefer redevelopment of S6 based on Eastwoods Plan A.
  8. Looks like you've worked really hard on this one..... I can only restate that Wandisco Dave (WD) told me SDR was his uncle. In those early days I chose to trust WD because in part he was explicit about the shame SDR brought to his family both in what he did at our club and what happened in his businesses, this resulted in the family never even mentioning SDR. Plus WD's actions in our tech ecosystem were trustworthy to that point. This all changed just before Wandisco IPO'd where two big principles upon which I had agreed to support him in developing Wandisco were not fulfilled. Firstly that a large staff share options pool would be put in place for the Wandisco staff (many of which were my old Plusnet colleagues) and secondly that WD would not oversell the prospects of Wandisco going into the IPO. I walked away from the relationship at that point including walking away from share options allocated to me that could have been worth a fair sum.
  9. Fenway Sports Group
  10. Nope, just want the next FSG that comes into our game. Just because we are understandably desperate doesn't mean we should accept anything less, especially when peers of FSG are looking and have even tried doing a deal....
  11. Rather have FSG or Tony Bloom
  12. Sorry but this is a myth. Levy has spent poo tons of shareholder capital, massive overspend on the stadium, lots of player transfers that made no financial sense.
  13. Stadium cost rose from £250m to £1.2billion
