  1. What's a foot long and slippery? A slipper.
  2. It's a good strategy and one I've employed on the last day of the season when we're threatened with relegation (I'm also useless at gambling and have never won anything, not even a work sweepstake). And if the gods of football overrule the gods of gambling and make us lose at least you've got a few quid compensation. Some people will say shouldn't bet against Wednesday but when it's done with the express intention of affecting the result so we win I don't think that really holds.
  3. Queue number 4476 = was logged in from 9.25 waiting for the queue to start too
  4. This message appearing at the bottom of my screen now good sign: Message last updated: 16:47 Please bear with us as there may be a limited number of seats becoming available. Thank you for your continued support!
  5. Still saying queue paused for me, that the same for everyone else?
  6. I agree. Last night's performance and result were all part of the master plan to make promotion as exciting and emotionally distressing as possible.
  7. I remember him at reading and Bristol city but can't remember him ever playing for us which is scary cos I was at the Middlesbrough match where Steve Howard scored and apparently so did he! Getting old sucks!
  8. There are divided loyalties in that family but Jay is an owl, used to have a season ticket with his dad.
  9. I don't know much about him as a player but I know his family and he's definitely one of us, lifelong owl and used to always have a season ticket with his dad on the north.
  10. Jonny greenwood from Radiohead is an owl, even had a Wednesday til I die sticker on one of his guitars
  11. Ran back on in just his vest to clear a ball but obviously didn't have a clue where he was and was immediately taken off with concussion. I'm not quite old enough to remember the likes of Mick lyons but I reckon cocko was the hardest player I've seen in an owls shirt (and by hard I don't mean dirty, I mean a player who can take it not necessarily dish it out)
  12. Sits back and waits for some tedious clown to comment that there will be some who comment on the fact that it's the sun and they wouldn't wipe their arse on it. Probably because, presumably unlike the aforementioned poster, they prefer to use bog roll.
  13. humanity can never truly be free until the last landlord hangs from the entrails of the last businessman
  14. Dom senior played for Peterborough when I used to watch them play regularly (grew up there so went to see posh cos I couldn't get to wednesday games). He was a decent player. Really quick and could play on the wing or through the middle. Decent eye for a goal too. He was also a full Nigerian international if I remember correctly.
  15. Jay Glover has signed
  16. The bigger ones are Gavita 1000W DE Sodium, very powerful lamps more to the red end of the spectrum. They do most of the work. The smaller ones are Hortilux, I think Ceramic metal halides with a very high colour rendering index which serves as supplementary lighting to give them the other parts of the light spectum they need. Nothing to do with heat. I work in the industry (though I think most of our end users grow a different kind of grass)
  17. Me and my mates have a laugh and take the ******** but we never have bantz. This is because we're not cuunnts.
  18. Also Kurt Cobain, territorial pissings Wasn't expecting that to get through the swear filter!
  19. I was going to mention him, remember that with vinnie Jones, I think Ryan was only about 20 at the time too. didn't he get a bad injury and have to quit in the end?
  20. Isn't he too busy knocking around with known fascist terrorists to bother himself with football these days?
  21. Gone for Megson as the comedy option but if we can't get Hughton I'd take Stuart Gray over any of the other names on that list.
