  1. Bolton ticket office. Looks like we've sold out allocation now unless they are about to open up a new block? No tickets available at the moment
  2. Anyone at a loss this weekend, head down to the Trafalgar Warehouse on Saturday - (120 Trafalgar St, S1 4JT), for this year's Retro Football Fair. There will be tons of Wednesday shirts for sale, as well as 1000s of shirts from most teams you can think of! We usually outnumber the blunts at these events, so wear your Owls tops when you come down just to rub it in a bit more. The full day tickets have sold out, but there are morning and afternoon slots still available: www.retrofair.co.uk I think there will be some tickets available on the the door. I will be selling shirts - use WISEOWL at checkout to get a discount off tickets. There will also be programmes and memorabilia sellers there too. (Including Rich from the Leppings Lane programme shop) It's usually a fantastic event. The bar will be open too. See you there!

  3. I've just realised I've still not had my memberships cards? Kids got their STs fine, but no sign of the members cards for the rest of the family. Anyone heard any news?
  4. I thought it was great that the CEO of Leganes presented Liam with the pre match Testimonial gifts on the pitch last week. He seemed like a decent guy, and it was good of him to take time out to fly over for the game. (Not sure if our owner was there?!) Looking into their owners, Blue Crow Sports Group, they currently own 4 sports team - Leganes being the largest. But all the teams they buy are 2nd / 3rd Division - with the aim of getting promotion. (Already achieved with Leganes, and Cancun just got promotion up to the 2nd tier). We'd be the ideal team to join that portfolio - plus we play in Blue / White if that's something that matters to them and their brand No doubt Chansiri would probably price us out of any takeover, and I didn't deep dive into their finances to see if they could actually back us, but it's good that we got our name out there with these sort of investment companies who might want to dip their toes into the English game. (Maybe we could get regular guest appearances from the the large phallic super-cucumber too)
  5. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katy_Livingston Katy is an Owl and competed in the 2008 Olympics. A true Wednesday Olympian
  6. Bullen. Weight Lifting
  7. Fletcher. Artistic Gymnastics
  8. Surely it'd be Gary Madine competing for us in Boxing?
  9. I don't think they have done for a few years. There are still carpools that go up to games though.
  10. When I lived in Cardiff, I set up the SWSWSWS - South Wales, South West, Sheffield Wednesday Supporters group. At our peak we used to arrange buses to home games - Pick ups in Swansea, Bridgend, Cardiff, Newport, Bristol, Gloucester and on to Sheffield. Other fans couldn't believe it when we bumped into them at service stations. There were around 200 members, with a good 40-50 actively going to games. It was great. I'm in the Wirral now, and there are plenty of fans over here, we lift share over the Pennines to matches now.
  11. The badge gives it away. Looks cheap and tacky
  12. Even Palace are charging nearly £90 and that's through Macron direct.
  13. He thinks of us a PL club. Liverpool for example - £80 from their official site. Newcastle. £80. That's the direction that official shirts are going in. We can't buy our shirts from JD or Sports Direct, so in theory that money is going straight to us.
  14. That's what official footy shirts cost these days. It's not like he's charging us more than anyone else. I am a shirt collector too, so I'd much rather have the real thing.
  15. All valid points and I know how much kits are. My kids have got DH Gate England kits for these Euros. But I'm happy paying a bit more for proper Wednesday kits and that money going into the club. I bet some that are moaning are happy paying £15-20 for a pack of fags and smashing 10 pints of £6 ale down on a Sat night. (Plus whatever nose dust costs these days). But £70 for a shirt is too much? Doesn't make sense to me. Put that money back into the club.
  16. Doesn't sit right with me buying fake Wednesday kits and taking money from the club. England kits / foreign clubs - go for it. But saving £30 from your pocket and giving it to rip off merchants instead of investing in your club isn't right at all. Tight gets.
  17. Danny's bestie has just got the Barca job. Can we expect to see any loans coming in from them? Surely he could ask for a few favours. Although, how would a 19 year old Barca starlet cope in the Championship? They could get battered and ruin their careers if they have a stinker. One to keep an eye on
  18. Oh aye, I can see the Röhl contract being announced, then a chairman announcement calling us tight and that he needs donations to be able to get any players or something along those lines.
  19. One of my mates went in the away end against Millwall at Hillsborough. He said it was because it was a tenner cheaper than the home end. I suspect it's because he's a bit of a nutter he just wanted to relive his youth and cause some aggro! He celebrated when Wednesday scored too!
  20. Going to aim for the Golden Cup I think. Opens at 10, confirmed on their FB page.
  21. Adrian from Liverpool is on a free. He's getting old now, but would still be great. (if he'd take a big wage cut)
  22. I'll be selling at the Retro Football Fair tomorrow in Sheffield if anyone is free to pop along. There will be about 30 sellers with all sorts of stuff, but mainly shirts. Come along for a browse - wear your Wednesday shirts, we want to out attend the pigs!

  23. I'd take a gamble on Danny Rose. Free agent, but he's fallen out of love with footy a bit. He's from South Yorkshire - get him on a pay as you play contract or rolling month by month thing. Get Dazza to put his arm around him and get his confidence up again. He could have a steal there. Still only 32.
  24. There were a couple of lads during the break before ET in the loos snorting sh*te up their noses in full view - that was outside block 508. Luckily my 7 year old was too nervous / focused to notice them.
  25. Horrible paper. Avoid at all costs. And any of their online site. They still seem to have a bee in their bonnet about the Newcastle game.
