Based on listening to the match, Murphy has had a quiet one. Worth bringing Bannan on for him and moving Reach out wide. Would give it 10 mins though as Murphy might find more space now and his dribbling is second to none.

Thought the budget question was basically Chansiri has money, FFP means they are restricted in what they can spend so Bruce essentially has been told there is no set budget, tell me what you need and I will tell you if you can have it.

True or not this is more about a big earner off the books than anything else. I will be sad to see him go as we will be weaker without him but only way to balance the books is to move players on, no matter how loved they are. Ideally you do it for a profit, something DC is yet to learn.

If Westwood has been sold in August and we had Dawson and Wildsmith as 1 and 2 GK I think we would have accepted if. The fact Westwood was frozen out was bizzare. I applauded Dawson as he crossed the pitch after the warm ups. Although he has made a few mistakes as any young keeper will some of the games he has won us points on his own almost. I look forward to seeing him being with us for many years to come and as others have said he played exceptionally well behind a constantly changing defence and formation. There was a reason he was named player of the month in November.

My only concern will be the style of football. We were spoiled under Carlos with high tempo attacking play. Under Jos with a lot of good players injured or frozen out we didn’t have an identity. All I really want is a solid team who can score goals to win games. I think Bruce will bring that. Might not be the best football but it would be nice to go to Hillsborough anticipating a win rather than wondering which defender will make the mistake which costs us a goal.
