  1. Yeah he stands out, but not as much as someone who posts as Andyben (?) That site seems to be a kind of borstal for angry people expelled from here.
  2. Yeah me too, but it keeps autocorrecting to TWS. Presumably it’s deliberate by the moderators?
  3. I didn’t write TWS/Facebook. It’s TWS I mentioned!
  4. Some odious posters on TWS on Facebook, one in particular stands out as being particularly obnoxious. Even now after everything that’s happened and the weight of evidence against DC he spouts nonsense against any form of protest, and bile against anyone who disagrees with his warped opinions.
  5. My favourite memory of Bruce .
  6. WAWAW is on life support tonight. SWFC supporters are boycotting the game . Those adults attending are simply supporting the tyrant Chansiri.
  7. I think many of us have an overly romanticised notion of being a Wednesdayite. We love the idea of WAWAW and occasionally it is a real and special experience, like the entire Peterborough game at Hillsborough and the euphoria of the winner at Wembley. The rest of the time however we’re just a cross section of society with diverse opinions, morals and standards of behaviour. We shouldn’t really be surprised that we don’t agree at this time. That said after everything that’s happened since last January, anyone still against protesting against Chansiri is an enabler.
  8. It didn’t take no Sherlock Holmes to figure that one out . By the way I’m certainly not the only one as there’s a steady stream of visitors to those two profiles every day.
  9. Having shortcuts on my home screen to the profile pages of two fellow Owlstalkers, that I check multiple times each day to see if they’ve posted anything. Utterly bizarre behaviour I know but I just can’t break the cycle.
  10. Wednesday fans haven’t always been this apathetic. Back in the 80’s when Bert Mcgee’s Board were reluctant to back Howard Wilkinson there was much more anger inside the ground directed towards the director’s box. ‘Sack the Board ‘ chants were common and fans really did vote with their feet in those days with attendances much more erratic from game to game. I would think the proportion of regular attendees that are season ticket holders is far greater today than back then and if you wanted to go away you just turned up and paid on the gate. The modern game has pacified our fanbase to the extent that Chansiri is being allowed to destroy the club through his incompetence and arrogance.
  11. RIP Steeno My condolences to Asteener and his family as they try to cope with this heartbreaking loss.
  12. The problem is we now have a large number of season ticket holders who are theoretically sympathetic to the idea of direct action to assist in forcing his hand, but think they may as well still attend as they’ve already paid. Then there’s the other lot who still don’t understand how serious our situation is, are are just too stubbornly entrenched in their opposition to fan action for whatever misguided reason.
  13. Width from wingbacks, pack the midfield, wait for the cavalry once sale is completed (before end of August ).
  14. The petition that started more than 24 hours ago currently has less than 1300 signatures! Our broader fanbase is anything but militant.
  15. RIP Alan Finney One of my dad’s favourites and part of the Catterick/Buckingham teams that he was always telling me about!
  16. Confirmation that WAWAW actually means nothing beyond those brief moments like the game at Hillsborough against Peterborough and the last gasp goal at Wembley. Sobering thought !
  17. In the early/mid 90s I remember a season when Juve’s squad included Vialli, Baggio, Del Piero and Ravanelli !
  18. RIP Nev. My condolences to his family & friends.
  19. This goal always comes to my mind when I think of Fernando https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxQI5w70mm2cYEmleTaEgNuMG6cjZD46UH?si=kdY-bPI3EBQdf_pG
  20. Not really what the OP is looking for but the Kop looks so impressive from pitch level at the Leppings Lane end.
  21. Lovely, can’t disagree with her assessment!
  22. Fujitsu are aware - they call it the Wednesday Boxing Day Bug. The EFL have absolutely no knowledge of any bugs and are convinced the software is robust.
  23. 18 May - Resurrection Day
  24. Doris Day accompanied by thousands of Wednesday fans belting out Que sera, sera is certainly something I could never have imagined before, but somehow it all seemed to make perfect sense in the moment. So glad I was there to experience that magical night with my son and daughter . It more than made up for the many bad times we’ve endured over the years.
  25. Turn up the volume and enjoy
