  1. Same.
  2. Why would we let DM leave for no compensation though?
  3. Blocking a manager leaving is much worse than a player. One unhappy player in the dressing room can be managed, but an unhappy manager whose job it is to coach and motivate the whole squad? Very bad idea.
  4. Tbf, when Famewo gave away the free kick my reaction was to shout out FFS!
  5. Very poor game of football. They look shocking and we can't pass the ball at all.
  6. Bizarre, just checked the away commentary, its the home one.
  7. Anyone else got no commentary on Ifollow?
  8. Why didn't he just keep on running with that? It was a 5 v 3 with tonnes of space to run into.
  9. It is this, with Palmer at CB and Iorfa WB. Smith and Mighten upfront.
  10. So its Palmer at RCB, with Iorfa (who can't pass or cross a ball) RWB. Seems weird.
  11. I wonder if the issue with FDB is not money, but being at a club where he will play every week. That's certainly what he needs to develop further and here he is not close to being "the main man" in midfield. Especially as it seems Bannan will trigger his 1 year extension clause, which means next year as well one of the midfield spots is automatically taken.
  12. Is John Pearson an idiot? "Looks like its 5 at the back" *its clearly a 4-3-3* "Iorfa excels at RB. He's got all the atributes you need" *he can't pass or cross a ball*
  13. No League Cup games on ifollow at all.
  14. I think the argument would be that if he doesn't sign a new contract he should be going somewhere.
  15. I for one don't characterise my following of Sheffield Wednesday by reference to other local clubs.
  16. Adeniran not quite the same player, but both gifted players who are crying out for regular football. Seeing as Bakinson seems to be above both of them in the pecking order we should get what we can for him while we can.
  17. He is definitely a player you can rely on to give 100% everytime he plays, no matter what role. But, at somepoint it has to be pointed out that effort is not enough if the talent is not there. Especially if you are aiming for automatic promotion. Remember James O'Conner?
  18. Never thought I would see a HHGTTG reference in a thread about an ex player.
  19. Its been like that on the south stand side since we put the desso in and upgraded the pitch surround.
  20. This whole "learn from watching" crap is a fairy tale. Its true that some limited positive traits in a players mental state or approach to the game can be somewhat influenced by watching and training with players much better than them...but nothing, and I repeat NOTHING, beats playing first team football week in and week out. Why do you think that so many Premier league teams loan their young players out rather than let them rot in the U23s while still training with the 1st Team? Why do so many of the clubs in La Liga and Serie A have their own wholly owned lower league clubs they can send their best young players to? Also, I never said we should release him. If he were to leave, he would definitely cost money.
  21. If someone's personal social media doesn't have a big following, then there is no point relying on that to get your message out there. Similarly, there are few TV shows/channels but there are many more print or online news and journalistic sites, so it really makes sense to partner with a print/news journalist as it easier to access and you have a bit more control. After all, TV slots are a premium thing. It stands to reason they would on average be shorter and more prone to being edited or misconstrued. Much better to go through a newspaper or equivalent website first, and if you get some traction, you can leverage that into a TV appearance.
  22. If he stays, then the only way he plays in the league is if we have an absolutely crippling CM injury crisis. Just to highlight this even more, if 4 of the 6 midfielders ahead of Hunt in the pecking order were to get injured...DM would still pick Patterson ahead of Hunt.
  23. You are way out. We can name 20 and use 9.
  24. He isn't going to play much with that many players ahead of him, and you really don't learn that much by just watching. At 22 you need to be playing games week in week out or there is no point.
  25. Really, I think he needs to move on. His best position is the furthest forward of the midfield 3 in an almost no 10 role...but that is also Bannans most effective position. Has all the attributes to be a decent player, he just needs 2 solid seasons of being a first choice in his best position to show he can do it which he won't get here.
