Imagine the meltdown of he’s there today.
-
We all saw the pictures of that guy s**on and that guy how used to be involved at Sunderland at the Norwich match.
-
Stick your pictures in here. KW has already said that one of the bidders was at the Norwich match and he’s expecting more to be there today. Hard to believe that on the morning of a Sheffield derby, as big as the game is, what we see in the stand could be far more significant than what we see on the pitch.

This is the table this morning, just look at the gap opening up between the pigs and 5th bottom, they really need to win today… let’s hope they feel this pressure. -

Agree totally pal, we are far far bigger than them and when we get new owners, provided they’re the right ones we’ll fly past the scrubbers, I worry about today though. -

I have a very bad feeling we could be getting payback for Boxing Day today, hope I’m wrong. -
So sad, rest in peace.

I remember him saying one was at the Norwich game and more would be there tomorrow. Definitely worth keeping a look out.
-
Directors box could be interesting tomorrow.

This is what worries them, as much as the may argue to the contrary deep down inside they know we are a much bigger club than them and if we get serious owners buy the club we’ll overtake them on no time and leave them for years in our shadow and there’ll be nothing they can do about it. The glass ceiling at Wednesday is far far higher than it ever will be at United, thats just a fact.

EXACTLY what I’d expect you to say if the Waltons WERE involved.
-
I was just thinking about that site, it would be perfect and we could even take back the Owlerton name for the stadium. Not sure how much Dave Allen would want for the site though. Isn’t Dave Allen still owed money if we get to the Premier League or has that now been wiped since Administration?
-
Assuming the new stadium isn’t built on green belt land (which I’d hate to see), then perhaps the only option would be to build the new stadium on the site we already have. One stand at a time or even playing away from Hillsborough for a few years while it happens. I can’t help but think that this would put off some potential buyers. According to AI…. There are no readily available plots of land in Sheffield suitable for a new 50,000-seater stadium , as such a large project would require a significant amount of space and infrastructure that is not currently available in the city. The current major stadiums, Hillsborough and Bramall Lane, are established venues that have a capacity of around 40,000 and 32,000 respectively, and are already built on their respective sites. Future development plans are generally for smaller venues, such as the 5,000-capacity stadium being planned for the Meadowhead area. No major sites available: A 50,000-seater stadium is an extremely large development that would need a substantial plot of land, which is not currently on the market in Sheffield. Existing stadiums: The two largest football stadiums in Sheffield are Hillsborough Stadium, with a capacity of 39,732, and Bramall Lane, with a capacity of 32,050. Both are established venues on their respective sites and are not being replaced by new, larger stadiums. Future development plans: The only large-scale stadium project currently underway in Sheffield is for the Sheffield Eagles Rugby League club, which is planning a 5,000-capacity venue in the Meadowhead area, significantly smaller than a 50,000-seater stadium.
-
My main concern with moving out towards Meadowhall is the effect it could have on the surrounding area and local economy in S6. There is the very real risk that with no football club in the area, a lot of small local businesses could shut which would be very sad to see. The only problem is, I’m struggling to think of any big enough plots of land in or around Hillsborough that could house a new stadium.

Exactly, so now he’s gone and they could probably get the club for half that figure now, why would they hold off bidding now?
-
I get your point pal but if they bid £100m months ago for the club, they weren’t bothered about waiting for it back then so why now when they can probably pick up the club for a lot less than £100m?
-
The Bizzle said they’d bid £100m for the club months ago. If that’s true, why are they holding off bidding now?
-
Suggests that the group he’s working with know how much work is needed and are still hanging around which is good. When you hear things like this, it really hammers home just how detached from reality Dopey Dejphon was with the price tag he stuck on the club.
-
2 x sorted this morning on the North Stand. At those prices you can’t complain.

Did DC choose the Administrators?
TrickyTrev replied to owlsite's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I think he did. Chansiri cared deeply for this club (regardless of what some so called fans might say) and with his last act as owner, knowing his time at the club was over, his priority will have been to ensure that he left the club in the hands of someone who cared for it almost as much as he did. Thank you Dejphon. -
Let's Get The Scrubbers Of S2 Sold Out!

Effectively sold out then as I’m guessing the seats remaining are odd ones here and there. The LL will no doubt sell out this week. -
Let's Get The Scrubbers Of S2 Sold Out!
TrickyTrev replied to BIG D's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Given the last 25 years of rubbish, the fact that we are currently in administration, the expensive ticket prices, the current squad we have and the fact that we’ve won 1 home league match in the last 12 months and are nailed on to get relegated, there isn’t another club outside the Premier League that could get a gate as big as us for this match. Were the roles reversed, the scrubbers would do well to scrape 25k.
