POLL: For SEASON TICKET HOLDERS ONLY...
bdmfournil replied to Daveyboy66's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
100% not renewing for first time in 40 years if he is still here -
And what has he got to gain from that then
-
Is it me or didn’t that all end rather badly
-
It’s the only scenario that makes any sense at all
-
I sometimes wonder if the reason he will not sell is because it isn’t his to sell. He is just the patsy in all this
-
I would be a R8 fanny if I did that. It’s not an 18/1 shot in a 3 horse race. Leicester aren’t exactly in great shape either and at least we will be closest to our strongest side today, albeit compromised

Windass next out of the door at SWFC?
bdmfournil replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
He has one big contract left. Of course he is going to move. It’s nothing to do with anything personal. He might get 15k a week elsewhere. Any new deal here is 7k max why would he stay -
A nightmare is unfolding in front of us
bdmfournil replied to SallyCinnamon's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Thank you, that is a comfort knowing it is possible for us to have an exit strategy without Chansiri having a say. I suppose renting the stadium at an extortionate rate is the downside, but if somebody gets us for a pittance it gives them a sustainable base to start from -

One thing that concerns me and I have no idea of the answer. When dealing with the administrator, if that happens, does Chansiri have to agree. When we were getting wound up the last time, I believe the Co-op were the major creditors and agreed to Mandaric taking it over. As nobody knows who the creditors are (Chansiri's other "companies") would it still need his agreement to be signed off. If it does and he is in so much debt, I don't see him as certain to sign off on anything. -
What One Word Sums Up Our Current Situation ?

I think it is fair to say if there was no compensation to pay he would have been in very high demand. However, he has been shown to have questionable judgement when extending his contract. He had worked with Chansiri from the previous October. Surely 8 months of direct involvement with him would be enough for most people to be very careful about getting into a non negotiable contract situation.

Oops Darren Purse

In fairness to Wood, we signed Darren Moore and immediately Laws made him captain taking it away from Wood. A very poor decision as it turned out

Invest in Hillsborough... or move?
bdmfournil replied to Maidstone Owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Would it be possible to put a new ground at Middlewood and redevelop Hillsborough as the training complex. No idea if the former is anywhere near big enough. -
