  1. The thing about his political donations is a bit of a red herring, surely? I'm aware that some have said it raises the question of conflicts of interest, but I don't see how professional football is party political, and this appointment isn't going to be a money spinner for him. As to the salary, anyone querying it might want to suggest what they think it should be instead?
  2. Not watching this tonight as I won't be at home, but I hope we can get a decent performance and result - the players need some good vibes.
  3. God, I knew it was a mistake to check Owlstalk this evening.
  4. I have no problem with this tbh. 99% of the time, football professionals do what is best for themselves. This interview is clearly placed to support the narrative that Danny didn't throw his toys out of the pram, to position him for jobs. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, and I don't have any particular reason to believe the narrative isn't basically accurate. Is there more to the story? Is Danny imperious and demanding? Very possibly! The only thing I would criticise him for is when he went out of his way to say some players weren't good enough after that one game. But I think that needs to be seen in the context of the stress he was going through at the time, and watching a playoffs push evaporate.
  5. I am genuinely up for this maximum banter outcome
  6. All the assets of the chargor. But there isn't one, so it's theoretical.
  7. If you have a qualifying floating charge over the assets of the company you can appoint an administrator. I don't think there are any such people. Other creditors need a court order. It wouldn't be the first step, you'd probably need a judgment for a debt first, and for that not to be paid.
  8. There's no such thing as a perfect owner. The big sports investment groups, rich individuals, fan consortiums, nation state funds, the stock market - all have pros and cons, and there are good and bad examples of most. I will take anything over the current situation. I have a strong preference for not being owned by the investment vehicle of a nation state, but I literally work for a company with that kind of ownership.
  9. The only thing that could have made this better is two Leeds players collinding
  10. Very impressed with what he’s done so far.
  11. Great work from the lads but you have to assume Leeds have a couple of gears in reserve.
  12. All the groups should book the Zoom in and then not turn up.
  13. I would not blame Moore for not touching any of this with a barge pole (and I assume he’s under some kind of NDA) but I’d love to hear his thoughts right now.
  14. yeah, I chalk this up as more mouthing off. The highest value use of this land is probably as part of SWFC.
  15. Everyone will say this story reinforces their own narrative about the current situation, and I am no exception. To wit: the thing you have to understand about DC is that he’s a giant dummy. He will eventually sell, in my view, but I think it’s very plausible that he won’t see the writing on the wall telling him he has to, until it says HMRC.
  16. Wait, I thought Chansiri wanted to go down so he can run the club at break even. I want him to sell asap and won’t be buying any tickets but I support the players and coaching staff fwiw.
  17. Let's not kick Pederson around for trying to keep things going, just a suggestion
  18. It would never happen, the masons would stop it
  19. The longer he hangs on, the less money he'll get back, and in the meantime he has the stress of running a business he doesn't care about, for staff and fans who hate him. Eventually, money talks, either because he sees sense or because the wolves (HMRC) are at the door.
  20. Well known blade Alex Turner. It's all becoming clear
  21. If the masons are behind this there's only one man to get to the bottom of it
