  1. I’ve said this before - this is a great idea as it actually increases the cost to him at every home game. All it takes is people to stay in the ground for half an hour. Easy.
  2. Interesting thought based on this. ST holders are going to go as they have already given Chansiri their money. Would a post-match sit in by them - just for an hour - significantly increase the cost of a home game. It would be an extra hour of stewards pay, the cleaners couldn't start yet and would take an hour more, it would require police to stay on another hour - surely this would all add up. Would it be significant or noticeable to the club? And would it get any press?
  3. Some photos from earlier
  4. The EFL wouldn’t say it’s the council. No more than the Police would blame the garage that gave you an MOT if your car is unsafe, or the council would be blamed if you got the shits free a dodgy curry even if they’d given it a 5 star hygiene rating. its not enough to get your business up to the required standard, you have a duty to maintain it that way.
  5. Chansiri cannot fail. He can only be failed.
  6. Players would have to be crazy not to do this.
  7. Best drinking spot in Sheffield. Cheers!
  8. Actually the real Millenium is on page 1001 because bore bore bore…
  9. This from the efl site: On the dedicated Embargo Reporting page on EFL.com, Clubs under embargo will be detailed, along with the reason for their embargo. i.e. the Regulation the Club has failed to comply with. Once placed under a registration embargo, Clubs have two Business Days to secure the removal of the Embargo before the Club’s name and reason for Embargo is published on the Embargo Reporting Service.
  10. I hope you give good ones then.
  11. I can guess what this is as you made me look like some maddened obsessive. Took me down some wild rabbit hole though - who knew Specsavers had their own airline (Not a joke by the way!)
  12. Some honeymoon that was. Fast work.
  13. Just seen this interview with him (might have been posted before) from his time coaching the German national team. He just sounds like he’s on top of it and the level he’s worked at is phenomenal. https://theathletic.com/2854498/2021/10/05/danny-rohl-the-pressure-at-southampton-was-bigger-than-it-is-with-germany/?amp=1

  15. While I wouldn’t want to leave Hillsborough I do agree with the last point made here and think it’s something that could be addressed by investing in something across the way on Penistone Road. something that’s ostensibly for pre/post match entertainment but would also attract people and money every other day of the week would be perfect. You mentioned Topp golf and I remember seeing something about a football version. I think it could be a real money maker for the club. It’s these additional revenue streams we need to bolster the player trading, ticket sales, TV & sponsorship income. https://www.sportstravelmagazine.com/toca-social-takes-top-golf-model-to-soccer/?template=amp
  16. Essentially this is about the strategy to stay within FFP. Chansiri thinks he’ll increase income through very high ticket prices. there’s a strong argument on here for selling promising young players and banking the profit. are there other models - other clubs must have different models that also work. There’s not just two ways to run a football club. how else do clubs increase their revenue?
  17. A good write up about his early career at Man U here https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-united-sir-alex-ferguson-26453324
  18. I think they’d find that easier and get out earlier.
  19. Lock them up until them &!their parents get an A* in 5 GCSEs.
  20. 538 website predicts we’ll finish 4th at the minute. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/league-one/
  21. My Dad was the kit man for all the time we were top of the Premier league. Then he left and it was all downhill. I wonder what would have happened if he’d stayed…
  22. What would happen if he bought a real taxi firm and incorporated it into Sheffield Wednesday. So it was basically a different dept in the company that brought in money. could that be an income steam that would offset some of the club’s spending? In the same way making the stadium ‘earn’ more revenue or selling more shirts or pies or whatever.
