  1. It's the haircut.
  2. Oh the blades would have been infinitely more organised and militant. It's what happens when one half of the city appeals more to the comfortable middle class rather than the working man, but thats a whole other discussion.
  3. Everyone saying "its a start" Well it is, but probably the end of all that as well since all the extremist fans with the balls to do that kind of thing will be arrested and banned from the stadium for life. All thats left is the scabs who turn up every other week and laugh while while other people try and protest properly.
  4. I've said it before If the current state of the country and actual day-to-day hardship isn't imploring the average football fan to take to the streets and get militant, what makes us think the state of a football club will? We're all numbed. Me included. We're all sleepwalking into oblivion in more ways than one.
  5. This is a great example of why its not always a good idea to throw the kids in. Although there was plenty examples last night of how it sometimes is.
  6. Very impressive, young goalkeeper who is suited perfectly to the modern game. He also meets the homegrown quota to boot. He's going to be worth a hell of a lot of money to someone. Alas, sadly, probably not to us.
  7. Guys, we have 3 senior midfielders under contract and one of them is Olaf Kobacki, another is Nathan Chalobah. I'm very scared now.
  8. I think he probably does at this point but these things are never straight forward, especially when you listen to Reading fans about their process. Plenty more false dawns to come before its bought i reckon.
  9. Yeah i can see Leicester going for Wilder. Perfect fit. Local lad as well.
  10. I'd take any except Rooney or Robbie Keane (?!) tbf
  11. Just fast forward to League 2 already and lets rebuild
  12. What harm can it do? See thread on Pierce Charles
  13. Another Musaba thread another JJ comparison despite them being absolutely nothing alike. You can set your watch to it ffs.
  14. Surely the one thing you want to be as a goalkeeper...is lightweight?
  15. What makes you think the same people who don't protest their bills going up year on year and tax going down the toilet and NHS going to the cleaners, would protest their football club having a tough time? We are an apathetic nation. We'll learn, though.
  16. The scary thing, and which nobody seems to be considering, is that most professional football players get paid quarterly, not monthly. Have we had confirmation it was just one month's wages?
  17. Wtf are you talking about. I saw plenty. I also saw a team worth about £60mill be way more clinical.
  18. We fall marginally short to another £80-100million squad yet again. On we march.
  19. I'd start Iorfa and have Irofa off the bench personally but other than that good team.
  20. As daft as this sounds i think the stadium is too big for us atm. Its not designed for a cracking atmosphere with 25k people. The design is all wrong, the only people who get songs going are secluded over by the away end and get drowned out. We should have fans at the top or bottom of the leppins at all game. Sell tickets there for a cut price and watch the atmosphere improve. Of course, add the fact that the working class are getting completely priced out of watching football, like everything else, and none of this surprises me.
  21. This isn't a coincidence. Our home crowd is a major disadvantage.
  22. Less concerning is the last minute loss More concerning is we lost our last two Senior Centre halves in addition to our only playmaker being out. This could be the beginning of a bit of a slide.
  23. Franck Song'o Purely because he's the only player I've seen pull off a rainbow flick in a game.
  24. I think We need to float around mid table for a couple of seasons at least to stabilise. Blood in some young saleable assets, raid PL academy rejects, make some money, rinse and repeat. Hopefully play some fun football in the process. I feel like even if we went up this season it might not be the best thing long term and we'd just do a Luton. Best thing we can do is stay in the league comfortably until we get a buyout and do it how Forest have done it (throwing shed loads of money at it). Looks like thats the only way these days.
