I watched the end of Liverpool game last night and they played 8 mins too, in that 8 minutes Galatasaray players were on floor rolling round, wasting time at any opportunity, every time the Ref pointed at his watch and told them to get up and get on with. They played an extra 9 seconds over the 8, drives you mad.

Players causing a 30 minute delay, stating that they may refuse to play (whilst ultimately knowing they will take to the pitch in the end) should draw some attention with it being on sky. No idea of the rules or if its feasible but I'd be happy to sit there for the extra bit of time, Could always nip down for a pie & pint while we wait.

Surely if nothing has changed this is THE game you get called off, on the pitch and do not budge. If they manage to clear that you have a backup plan whistles/tennis balls/drones, utter disruption.

Ended up a bit more long winded than I intended but the main point was that I, like many I assume, am torn. If you could show me now the impossible, the exact difference season ticket holder boycotts would make and that it did make a difference then it’s a no brainer. But if like me you think it won’t make a blind bit of difference right now and I don’t have to upset my son that’s the no brainer. That said, I won’t be renewing until he’s gone and I wouldn’t have bought later in the year for this season.

On the flip side do you think blowing whistles for 5 minutes or staying out the ground for 5 minutes will work? Personally I don’t think Chansiri will give a flying throw and that’s if he even notices at all. I’m not sure this pressure everyone thinks we’re putting on him is real, like is he sat at home watching ITV news for the minutes airtime and thinking the buggers ave really got me now. It sounds like he owes money left right and centre into the millions, surely that pressure will be affecting him more than whistles. If we go down the getting matches called off/postponed/ delayed route and end up with more deductions will we put off potential buyers and be stuck with him even longer? Nobody knows is the answer. I bought my son a season ticket for his birthday in January (dad of the year contender) after 2 years of nagging me for one. He was excited when the fixtures came out, he knew when it was, he was desperate to go. No amount of explaining to him about the financials and potential ramifications was going to dampen it for him because he’s 9, same age as Chansiris brain and the same blissful ignorance towards it all. PS he hated the first 5 minutes due to the whistles (noise hypersensitivity) which is a reason why I waited a few more years. Luckily it was only 5 minutes but I’d have been in the arguing camp if it had continued, not because I don’t agree with the sentiment but because everyone has they’re own personal stuff to deal with and their own reasons for being there / not being there, protesting/not protesting, optimism/pessimism. Not everyone will act the same no matter how much you want them too. You do you and stop worrying about everyone else. What’s a guy to do.

I left because we were either going to scrape a draw or lose in a game where we could have been out of sight in the first half (again). 11 minutes to go to try and get a winner was never on the cards when we’d spent the previous 25 camped on the edge of own box inviting cross after cross. There was absolutely no doubt in my mind that we weren’t going on to win that game and if by some miracle we had, it would have been a happy trade as I was home 40 mins earlier than I normally am after a night match. Sorry for being a poor customer. Tell the leaving early police I’ll try harder next game
