  1. I got mine this week. Phone call from ticket office (number starting with 0370 if it helps), refund received the following day.
  2. 12 point deduction (6 suspended) with a large fine (ironically). There will also be a transfer embargo for the next window. Monk has been asked about future transfer business and mentioned it would be freebies and loans only.
  3. Tom Lees has gone off injured in warm up. Expect a change....
  4. No wonder Fox left all that space if he is posting on here during the game.
  5. Amoebi 7 goals in 125 league games. Let that sink in a while.....
  6. Assuming of course this story is true.....there are at least two sides to every story and only the naive take as gospel one side to it.
  7. Isn't there a FIFA rule regarding how many clubs a player can be registered to in any particular transfer window? Complete non-starter on that basis alone......
  8. Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but if it was so easy to design, produce and market your own kit, wouldn't everyone be doing it? Several clubs have tried (Leicester and Southampton spring to mind) but they did it for a season before going back to a brand.
  9. As of a few minutes ago......
  10. DC: "....I will do everything I can to get this club promoted...." Now, I'm not sure where the action 'selling our best player to a promotion rival' would appear on DC's list, but it certainly doesn't appear any where on mine! We need to wait and see for the reason why he hasn't travelled as it's very easy for us to put two and two together (especially with his agent in Newcastle right now), however I fear a meltdown of epic proportions if he is off.
  11. What he said. When will people realise that the pricing of tickets is centred around the fans who actually turn up more than a couple of times per season? I am not having a go at those fans (and yes, they are fans even if they don't go to many games) but the club could not survive mind grow if we relied on those people who didn't attend many games? The club are rewarding loyalty in attendance from its fan base, both now (season tickets), medium term (membership) and long term (priority points).
  12. I don't think there is anything to panic about at this stage. There was a Premier League manager quoted over the weekend (Big Sam?) who said that prices quoted for players have gone through the roof due to the extra TV money, which I turn will have a knock on effect to us. Yes, £300m was spent in the first week of trading but the majority of these deals would have been done weeks ago and a lot of them were for players outside of England.
  13. Spot on. I was there, and he was open so many times that we either didn't pass to him or it came a few seconds too late when his space was closed down. It was the right sub, and the best we had. Whether he is the long term solution is massively debatable. Bannan was the issue for me. He so often dictates the tempo for us and yesterday he was pedestrian and he almost always chose the wrong option.
  14. More stuff for block 545:- 100 blue balloons 100 white ballons 1 dolphin 1 killer whale 1 banana 1 football-effect beachball Going to be a good day out methinks!
  15. I can't log in either and like you, it was working fine last night. Probably doing an update or maybe something linked to transferring ID's to See tickets.
  16. I would love to think that they will hand over any unsold tickets before ours go on general sale, however I think its more to do with putting restrictions in place for those of us who don't get a ticket on Tuesday and then decide to head over to Ticketmaster to try and get tickets in the Hull end. The only doubt I have with this is that Hull's GS finishes at 12pm, and ours starts 27 hours later. No need for such a large amount of time for a simple cut off, but plenty of time to update see tickets website overnight......
  17. I tend to agree......however, Hull's general sale ends at 12pm on Monday whilst ours starts Tuesday at 9am. Coincidence? We are using different websites so its not that.
  18. One thing you all need to remember is the impending wage cap from next season. We cannot be signing players that we have to get rid of at the end of the season if we don't go up. This explains why we have been signing "League 1" players as they fit into next years restrictions already. Also remember the pigs got a stay of execution on the cap this season, gambling that they would go up. If they don't, then they have to shed players regardless of their financial situation.
  19. Midfield (and I include wingers in this) were the reason we went down last night, it's been a problem since the season began and it's still a problem now - Osbourne has made a difference but he is one man out of 4 (or 5). Our midfield doesn't help our defence enough. GM has had to address that with the personnel he has, but you cannot polish turds. Especially old turds.
  20. Time will tell whether we have replaced one bad manager with another, but can we give it longer than a couple of months before we come to that conclusion? There is a lot of blame to go round - some deserve less and some deserve more than what has been the general opinion on here. However, we have got rid of our captain and arguably our best striker (who was also key at defensive set pieces), got rid of the board and got rid of the manager. However the problem still remains, and has actually got worse. Who is left?
  21. Thing is, if GM either drops or terminates any contracts (which I sincerely doubt as the financial reward to the player is too great), who is he going to replace those players with? He cannot bring replacements in, and our youth system isn't exactly producing a conveyor belt of talent is it? He therefore has what he has, but there is little or no consequence for players not performing especially if they have more than a year left. I am sure once safety is assured he will throw in a few prospects and see how they do. However despite MM's takeover we don't have a bottomless pit of money, and there is little point in paying money out for loan signings when there is nothing to play for, especially if it comes out of next year's budget. I do think however he will bring players in on loan, if by the time the loan window is about to shut safety is not assured.
  22. To continue the "normal job" analogy a little that the OP started, Galaxypuppet try doing your fire fighting/ restructuring when you have the following.... - You have adopted a set of employees, a large percentage of which are brand new to your company and the way you work, but do have experience on their CV. - Your team are completey demotivated - They haven't had any success in recent weeks - You have tried reorganising how you all work, but no matter what you try things do not improve, if anything performances drop - You cannot performance manage any if the employees due to strict union guidelines - You cannot recruit any permanent employees, even ones from your previous jobs - You have explored temporary staff, but either other companies don't want to release them or the staff want no part of a move right now - You cannot terminate any staff as not only would you encourage union criticism of your role (especially when you need to employee some new staff in a few months) but you would also have to pay those contracts up in full, which isn't a punishment and would cost potentially hundreds of thousands of pounds - You do have the option of moving experienced staff to some non-front line roles, and replace with some trainees, but those trainees have zero experience and you have no idea how they would cope under the current stressful situation - Employees are giving you assurances that they will carry out your instructions, but then either make glaring errors within minutes of you giving them responsibility or collectively they fail to carry out the original instructions. Again, you cannot carry out any disciplinary action due to terms of contract and union guidelines. I doubt you would be able to turn things round in 3 months given the above. This isn't a dig at you, as you do raise some interesting points, but GM isn't claim this team as his own when clearly they are letting him down by not following his instructions.
  23. I got home from work about 10 minutes after kick off, and I could not believe Peterboro' were 13/8 to win. Easy money.
  24. Surely, that would be reactive then?
  25. Players cannot be recalled within the first 30 days of any loan. He has been loaned until the end of the season, so there will be no recall clause at all. Balderzowl, SSN.
