  1. You just mentioned him, so everything's fine again now. Thanks.
  2. Try re-reading the heading and the first sentence from the OP. Basically he asks the question ‘What if X happens’ then states ‘of course X won’t happen.’ Why bother?
  3. Why create a thread that within your first sentence you admit is totally pointless?
  4. You've built a time-travel machine haven't you!
  5. Not sure why this is a "Wow" aimed at DC/SWFC at all: Southampton's sponsors (surprise, surprise they're a betting company) are getting loads of free publicity for 'subsidising' the cost of tickets for this match so that they equal the capped price of an away ticket that Southampton fans enjoyed whilst they were in the PL. How much would they have had to spend to buy the publicity this story will generate for them? At £6 per head for 2,400 fans I make that a meager £14,400; best value for money publicity deal they've ever made! The real story should be: Why do supporters of PL clubs enjoy a price cap that doesn't apply to those in the EFL? Why should ticket prices be capped only for away supporters? How can professional football be run in a more equitable, sustainable and economically viable way? But nah; let's just blame DC/SWFC, and then pile on, yet again, about a stand that did, and still does, meet all relevant safety regulations!
  6. DC possibly murdered DM and hid his body in the undersoil heating system but we do not know the full facts. (It would explain why DM didn't issue a statement and hasn't been seen since going out for a meal with DC though! )
  7. Hi Lisa!
  8. I mostly like to come on here to have a laugh and occasionally get embroiled in the endless 'us versus them' debates, but on this occasion I'll be serious-ish: Q1. OK, I'm no expert so I won't profess to know how to run the club better - so I'd just advise DC not to read Owltalk - he wouldn't like much of it, and it might not end well for some posters! Q2. Undoubtedly, DC could do better, but so too could the fans if they/we want to seriously engage with him to query aspects of his running of the club and persuade him that there are better alternatives. DC is going to continue to run the club in the way that he thinks is best until he no longer owns the club - that's his job! People constantly berating and abusing him, whether in person or especially on forums that he never reads, is very unlikely to change anything; so it's pretty pointless unless it just helps some people to get it off their chest - and let's face it, we do love a good moan on here! Simply shouting at someone "Oi, you're rubbish at your job and we hate you!" is unlikely to be a persuasive argument that results in change! The current engagement, such as it is, between DC and fans is clearly not satisfying anyone. Rather than random questions fired in at a live event and responded to on the fly, it would surely be better for the salient points to be collated and raised in advance so that they can be responded to fully in a considered way - wasn't that the idea behind the meetings with Supporters Groups? Accepting that language can be a barrier (and not just to DC!) then this process could remove, or at least reduce it, by allowing suitable time for consideration and putting together a cohesive response. DC also needs to accept that other members of his team could facilitate and share some of the burden of responding at such events, as this may help to improve the engagement from both sides. Phew! OK, I'll get back to posting Sid James emojis now!
  9. Hearing strong rumours about Gaz Ebo; maybe he could provide some much needed cover?
  10. Is it available on Sky? I’d deffo pay for it even if I had to give up the cinema and takeaways!
  11. No it's not: all messages are equal now remember!
  12. OK. Right. I'm getting there. It is a bit confusing though. I'll try again... Let's start this new era of unity amongst equals by calling everyone we disagree with moronic splitter Uberfans, whilst wilfully misrepresenting what it was that they actually said! Better?
  13. Stirring words Neil! Let's start this new era of unity amongst equals by calling everyone we disagree with moronic!
  14. How did that go down with the Barnsley fans then?
  15. Apparently, all you need to do to save yourself a load of dosh is find a pub that's showing the match for free and giving away free beer - easy peasy, jobs a good 'un!
  16. Yeah, cos everyone knows that Sky TV and Beer in Pubs have always been the two best value for money things that money can buy, and they have never ever put their prices up! Unbelievable Jeff!
  17. Eh? So you reckon they'll charge Wednesday fans more, which means they'll have to charge their own fans more, in order to make Wednesday fans suffer? Er, OK!
  18. They're All Wednesday Aren't They "TAWAT" (or something quite similar if they're Leeds!)
  19. Some people already get upset about a floodlight show and a phone torch display; they are going to have a full on meltdown when they see that LA Sphere! “It’s just not football! What’s wrong wi’ twirling a rattle and occasionally holding your scarf over your head?”
  20. So contrary to what you’ve both said the quotes that you’ve posted show that it is in fact legal if it’s authorised: “save as expressly authorised by the FL or by the club” “illegal for any unauthorised vendor”
  21. If so he no doubt learnt to hate POTG fans from reading OwlsTalk where it’s been customary for years to denigrate ’Part Timers’. E.g. All the posts asking: How come the extra 20k fans who went to Wembley didn’t go to every home game? It’s ironic that those same ‘Part Timers’ are now apparently being defended by their previous accusers!
  22. Nothing to see here... Just an issue with the Twitter feed on the OS page. The link on the OS to the Twitter page works and the Twitter site all is working as normal. Move along please.
  23. That’s also very disrespectful towards DM who Palmer was supposed to be standing up for! Time to give it a rest and maybe come back when he’s got something positive to say?
  24. Just about everyone says ‘Manager’ even though they know full well when the role is technically’Head Coach’. The difference is understood but the decades of calling them a ‘manager’ is hard to shake off. No great conspiracy, nothing to see here, move on please.
