We were just unlucky that it involved five times European champions Liverpool, so it keeps getting brought up every time the word Hillsboro is mentioned. Hardly anyone outside Sheffield realizes it's a large suburb with it's own MP etc. Just the name of a disaster to most,like 'Titanic'. But back on topic. All 4 corners are a mess. Needs some joined up thinking which new owners might hopefully provide. New stands for Lepp and Kop would sort it,or a new stadium but we're likely to be in League One soon so I can't see any major construction projects in the near future. As a temporary or makeshift solution to filling in the corners, maybe.... A second scoreboard. Possibly above the Tango uncovered bit. Executive boxes. Barnsley and Derby have about 3 tiers of boxes in one corner, although it's not ideal. Seats back in the NW corner. It looked better with seats. Maybe a big electronic advertising hoarding at the top to fetch some money in. If Wednesday could buy the houses on Vere Rd/Leppings Lane junction and demolish, they could take the cantilever right round to the South stand, as in the 1966 World cup plan. We did own most of those houses at one time and we used to rent them out to junior and youth players. The club sold them to a director I believe when we were short of cash. Maybe we missed a trick when the council offered us and United Don Valley stadium which was losing them money. I saw Rotherham United twice there. The facilities in the 10,000 seat main stand were superb so we would only have had 3 new stands to erect.

Couldn't you buy a season ticket with a credit card and just pay so much off a month instead of the full amount, depending on your finances. Of course you'd pay interest but it's more flexible than a fixed monthly payment.

I don't think it's normal to have statues of people whilst they're still alive but when Bannan and Palmer retire, I think the club might want to honour them in some way. Maybe one or other, or both, might stop on in some capacity. Possibly on the coaching staff or as club ambassadors etc. Maybe name a stand or two after them in due course.

I don't think we're best stocked at CF at all. We've lost Smith Windass Patterson Gassama and Mussaba and not brought any strikers in so it doesn't make much difference who the boss picks. Lowe and Ugbo would struggle to keep their places in a good National league side. I thought Cadamarteri looked lively in the last few minutes and I'd like to see Brown again when he's fit. But our lack of goals will take us down. Bannan is our top scorer with 3. Don't think anyone else has scored more than one.

I'm wondering if a striker could go 100 league games without a goal. Probably would be a world record. According to Wiki he's played 46 games for us since his transfer and scored 0. Pretty sure he scored in the league cup so that's maybe just league stats. Add on his barren spell towards the end of his loan period and he must be over 50 league appearances without a goal. Probably no assists either. Anybody who saw Haaland play for Man C yesterday would see the difference in speed,strength,guts and sheer determination, never mind skill. I'd sooner have Lee Gregory coaxed out of retirement to be honest.

I had to pull a chair up two feet from TV to make out who was who. If we'd played in all black or all orange it would have been better. Maybe it explained why players were passing to opponents for much of the match. Both in white shorts was ridiculous.

Im watching Brackley v Notts County fac on bbc2 and i reckon Brackleys front two would do better than Ugbo and J.Lowe.

West Bromwich has a population of 103,000 Sheffield has a population of 550,000 Granted, there are more people in a ten mile radius of the Hawthorns than Hillsborough but most of them support Wolves, Walsall, Villa or Birmingham. Maybe we should concentrate on ourselves and not criticise other clubs crowds.

You might have a surprise if you make that long trip on Wednesday.
