  1. Lowest point was having to beat Southend last game of 1975-6 season to stay out of division 4. We just did it 2-1. No multi millionaires round the corner then.
  2. Think we did. I'm sure I've seen matches before where the bottom team playing at home beats the team third from bottom. Maybe I dreamed that.
  3. Lose Paterson Windass Smith Musaba, Gassama and not replace them. Then pick a bloke up front who's now gone 48 games without a goal. But it's a mystery to some why we're toothless. No shot on target at all. I'm not surprised.
  4. You do realize he's a Blade don't you? Not sure what they did in 91 though.
  5. Jewell took little Bradford City into the Premier League previous to coming to us, then took little Wigan up there just after leaving us. Who knows what he could have done with proper backing. He said he was managing with his hands tied behind his back here.
  6. He might be more impressed if folk could spell his name right.
  7. And that, in one photo, is why the trams won't run. No point the tram taking thousands of pounds extra cash and then losing it all in damage and vandalism. Why anybody would want to fight someone just for supporting another football club beats me. Yes, I know, they do it to us. Still no excuse.
  8. I'm 78 years old and I can easily walk from the ground to Shalesmoor in 30 minutes. It's not that far.
  9. That adds up to 57 promotions. Divide by 3 and it's 19 seasons. We've been out of the Premier for 25 seasons so it's actually even worse than above. Unless my maths is wrong.
  10. With respect, what a stupid topic. We're almost certainly going down. Even without the 12 point deduction we aren't very good. I watched Lincoln v Donny on Sky on Saturday afternoon and I thought they both had better teams than us. Time to face facts. Unless we have an excellent rich new owner we will struggle to get straight back up.
  11. 1,400 seats.
  12. 66 died in the Ibrox disaster, yet hardly anybody remembers it or ever suggests changing their name. We were just unlucky that it involved five times European champions Liverpool, so it keeps getting brought up every time the word Hillsboro is mentioned. Hardly anyone outside Sheffield realizes it's a large suburb with it's own MP etc. Just the name of a disaster to most, like 'Titanic'. But back on topic. All 4 corners are a mess. Needs some joined up thinking which new owners might hopefully provide. New stands for Lepp and Kop would sort it,or a new stadium but we're likely to be in League One soon so I can't see any major construction projects in the near future. As a temporary or makeshift solution to filling in the corners, maybe.... A second scoreboard. Possibly above the Tango uncovered bit. Executive boxes. Barnsley and Derby have about 3 tiers of boxes in one corner, although it's not ideal. Seats back in the NW corner. It looked better with seats. Maybe a big electronic advertising hoarding at the top to fetch some money in. If Wednesday could buy the houses on Vere Rd/Leppings Lane junction and demolish, they could take the cantilever right round to the South stand, as in the 1966 World cup plan. We did own most of those houses at one time and we used to rent them out to junior and youth players. The club sold them to a director I believe when we were short of cash. Maybe we missed a trick when the council offered us and United Don Valley stadium which was losing them money. I saw Rotherham United twice there. The facilities in the 10,000 seat main stand were superb so we would only have had 3 new stands to erect.
  13. Couldn't you buy a season ticket with a credit card and just pay so much off a month instead of the full amount, depending on your finances. Of course you'd pay interest but it's more flexible than a fixed monthly payment.
  14. Was wondering why you were so interested in Bolton Wanderers there.
