  1. Says, on Live Score, he was subbed on 71 mins.
  2. Instead he produced a tool of a dude, as useless as a broken clock
  3. These were my first Wednesday heroes, after torturing their fullback for 20 mins or so they would swap wings and start again.
  4. I think he has been in the best form we have seen in the last 2 games. But don't give up on Ugbo yet as I think the will is there but the luck isn't.
  5. One of my favourite players of the time, ahead of his time as an attacking fullback.
  6. The main thing I remember about Finney and Wilkinson ( Derek ) is that they were both 2 footed and could beat their man on the inside or or outside. When they'd tormented their man enough they would swap wings and continue the torment.
  7. I worked on Leppings Lane turnstiles at this game and several of us were asked to stay open as loads of Everton supporters were delayed and wouldn't be arriving until halftime. As they were arriving hundreds of Wednesdayites were leaving.
  8. Likewise Patto could have squared it to Bannon who would have had a tap in.
  9. The U21's drew with the pigs 2-2, they didn't beat them.
  10. What about " The Invisible Man " then we could play with 12 men!
  11. Also watch Flint who backs up 2 or 3 yards beyond the back post which eliminates any chance of their goalie interfering.
  12. Fancy though, getting to 101 pts and only finishing second or third.
  13. I used to deliver the Green Un as an early teen back in 1961/2 and as I recall I used to have time to watch Dr. Who before they turned up at the bottom Sicey Avenue. I think I was paid one shilling (5p). But I agree it was a great read.
  14. It's our 49th Wedding Anniversary today ( 7 mirrors ) and one of the things Janice still talks about is how about six o'clock when she looked around a good number of male guests had disappeared only to return 15/20 minutes later complete with Green Uns. Those were the days.
