I don’t really care whether it’s fair or not, I hope the new owners cut him off at the first opportunity. He might be a noble loser, but he’s not a winner and I’d rather a new manager have half a season to get their feet under the table rather than wait for the inevitable.

Don’t blame the players or HP; blame Chansiri

I’d rather have Bailey carrying his duty free bags on the pitch over Ugbo -
A proper manager would work out how to use his powers of invisibility to our advantage

The year is 2030. Svante Inglesson once again fails to trap a bag of sand. “FFS Chansiri” -

I’d be able to accept the exhaustion excuse a little bit easier if we didn’t concede in the first 10 mins of pretty much every half we play -

Can’t we blame all of them? -
We’re only treating this squad like they’ve no chance because that’s what they’ve shown us. They’re established professional and we should expect more from them - here’s how many championship appearances they had last season. Horvath - 17 Palmer - 23 Iorfa - 22 Lowe - 34 Fusire - 0 Valery - 39 Bannan - 41 Amass - 0 Lowe - 24 Ugbo - 34 Inglesson - 35 Totally shameful performance today. If that’s all Pederson can get out of them then he can go as soon as the new owners come in as far as I’m concerned. They were blowing out their arses for the last 20 but that doesn’t excuses that once again we’ve conceded early in both halves. A proper manager should be able to do something about that.

Do we know how the stadium would be funded? I don’t know if I like the idea of the club being a vehicle to take on 9 figures of debt so a building firm can make a fortune out of bumping up the land value in Handsworth.
-
Which it was.
-
Why are they talking to Sheffield council about building in Rotherham?
-
I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s interested in an exit from that site if Owlerton is going out of use

You’re right - if it’s a coincidence that this news came to Rob around the same time and he asked if the party was WP, the post would make more sense. I read it as Rob had been sitting on the news of the meeting - which wasn’t with the Waltons, and he was trying to use that as a way to essentially undermine the Bizzle which I found odd too.
-
Do we know whose money he’s playing with yet - this pretty much confirms it’s not just his own.
-
If you squat and cough really hard they might come out themselves
-
How’s this being funded? You can be pretty certain that an Asset Management firm aren’t sinking £billions into this.

Needs more cones

I’m more concerned about getting bodies in to prevent injury etc than to win games. We have 4 centre forwards. They’re not very good, but we can at least rotate. A central midfielder would free up Valery to be able to play at the back or wingback if needed and give us a chance of resting Baz and Inglesson.

Interesting update from Paul Stanley
Random Task replied to Night King's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
People are reading so deeply between the lines they are seeing stuff that isn’t there. He made an off hand comment (as Kris did previously) that EFL approval may take different amounts of time depending on the parties involved. Yes, I expect approval time and risk will be taken into account alongside offer value, but the idea that (eg) small consortia or (eg) US bidders will be disregarded somehow is way off - I doubt that people operating in Europe or the US are the ones the EFL will struggle to ratify. -
People are talking like the club have been working to sweat Hillsborough and generate revenue from it for the last 30 years and have been stopped by its location. We’ve been run by morons and cheapskates. Come back and tell me Hillsborough’s a lost cause when someone has actually tired to make it work.
-
But he’s talking about non matchday revenue?
-
Hillsborough is 10 minutes from the M1
-
Personally, I’m desperate to watch Wednesday play in a conference centre in the arse end of nowhere
-
If you have “game changing” money what could you read in the accounts that would put you off? You must already realise the club is a money pit, I don’t think anything in the data room would be a surprise.

Mike Ashley preparing a bid
Random Task replied to ChrisWaddlesMullet's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
If it ends up being Ashley then fine - he’s the kind of owner that you can imagine owning a Wednesday / Coventry / Reading / Bolton / whatever the next middling club that gets into financial trouble is. I hope our new owner is above that tier. I think we can attract them, but we have no right to demand it. We’re not going to get much to judge potential owners on. After the last 10 years, I’d rather not have someone with a track record of taking clubs backwards and alienating fans. You can argue he was right to do it or it’s the fans fault or whatever, but that’s the evidence we have available to us. -
I don’t think there are any clubs for sale that meet your strict criteria mate - you should give up looking. It sounds like there are a load of people interested in Wednesday though - they’re all going feel like right idiots when they find out we have the wrong kind of train tracks.
