  1. Can’t see Ashley being this proactive in speaking to the council about a new stadium..
  2. And people say Charlie Methven wouldn’t be a good leader of the club. He was born for moments like this.
  3. The opening post is deeply embarrassing and I hereby declare my distancing away from it.
  4. Woaw, woaw. You can’t just throw accusations around like that.
  5. The twist here is that the repair man was actually Barry Bannan.
  6. Jesus man. Can’t win with some fans.
  7. Never understood the fan mindset of ‘moving on’ and forgetting previous managers and players. Bit of a jealous ex mentality. “WhY dO yOu CaRe WhAT He doEs aT RaNgeRs?” Because he was a big part of Wednesday and I’m now curious as to how his future path in football management plays-out.
  8. Thought this was going to be a thread about Rhinos.
  9. Agreed on all of this, and I think it everytime I go anywhere other than Hillsborough… The specifics cited are often the same: - entertainment in/around the ground - slick food and drink service, with better options - modern toilets and other facilities - good transport links (sometimes) - An overall perception that not every single bit of the enjoyment of the day was based purely on what happens on the pitch. Although Chansiri, Dave Allen etc have been woeful owners who have held us back in the modern age, I do think a lot of the major improvements could only be truly realised with a new stadium..
  10. Insightful and logical thoughts on Wednesday from the former Sunderland owner, Charlie Methven. https://youtu.be/RJd40KLHaKw?si=ia1PngXN6GOAdL6g
  11. It was too late to edit this, but I wanted to add that Chansiri has reportedly watched ‘The Sixth Sense’ 14 times and still thinks Bruce Willis is alive at the end.
  12. He wouldn’t understand it even if he was.
  13. Yes, I've said it in another thread, but we should now stop entertaining discussions on the likes of Textor and Ashley as preferred owners. We are suddenly in a whole different situation in which we as fans (Kris ) have the power to determine who comes-in. Therefore, a new owner should tick ALL of the boxes.
  14. Have any other set of fans cherished their club's administrator as much as us? It's such a bizarre scenario, however, I am loving it.
  15. Some of these will also likely have been interested under Chansiri, so will have already done a lot of their research prior and therefore can move quicker.
  16. I was going to suggest trying to rearrange Owls in the Park around Christmas time. It could have more of a Christmas market type feel but with the usual entertainment, player appearances etc. this would both makeup for the missed event in the Summer, whilst also driving much needed revenue in the immediacy.
  17. You absolutely cannot just say this and leave it at that.
  18. In the end I would have taken Textor and Mike Ashley over Chansiri (and anyone else for that matter). However, with this newfound opportunity that we have, which includes selling the stadium with the club, at a low price, we should absolutely be aiming higher… A lot of comments were made about Mike Ashley stabilizing us and then flipping us.. We have suddenly been elevated to the stage where we should be aiming for the people he’d be flipping it to…
  19. I agree… I think this will be THE statement opportunity. Let’s not waste it.
  20. Is this the point in which we as fans put pressure on the new regulator to act fast and decisively (whatever that means specifically)? I’ve seen contrasting information with regards how much power they will actually have… other ideas include trying to hit Thai Union Group financially… How specifically, I don’t know. I’m just shooting from the hip. aside from the above, the only other logical solution is to continue escalating the protests…
  21. Sweet baby Jesus. Where do you conjure the energy to create a thread about any player’s ability at the minute? you’re not wrong, but I’m not sure it needs to be a talking point right now
  22. Agreed. I genuinely want to see him go on to do great things.
