  1. Mature head on young shoulders. A proper defender.
  2. Some Lego to stand on.
  3. Debowe. A 7% Polish Lager available in Home Bargains. I can't imagine how bad he reeked on the way back.
  4. Not sure. Might be more like “you’re in touching distance. Don’t fk it up again or this is what will happen”.
  5. Not sure to what extent I agree with that. We're bound by FFP, and we basically need a full squad, and there is nothing left to sell to add to the profit to allow further spend. Yes, a new owner can spend on infrastructure, but really the clean slate is adding on years until there is any return of investment, and probably until the club is self sufficient. So it's essentially a money pit for a good few years. It's extremely unattractive as it stands unless somebody has vast sums to lose which narrows the targets down (to none as it stands).
  6. Tell you something though, at some point last week Chansiri probably rang his wife with a smug look on his face saying “it’s over. I’ve done it. I’ve got us what we need” That genuinely warms me.
  7. Ridiculous comment. He’s actually done some digging. We’re so desperate it’s almost embarrassing. We have potentially one shot here and some genuine interest from good people with a lot of money. This isn’t one of those people.
  8. Could also come in handy owning multiple clubs with our transfer predicament, a bit like Watford and Udinese.
  9. Like most I am absolutely livid about where the club is. Since the Watford game we have lurched from one day of disasters to the next. The anger I feel inside is at the point of making me ill. It's keeping me awake at night. I can't stop trying to drink in as much as I can on the situation to try to understand it. On here, elsewhere, trying to find something to make it all make sense, or to give me a bit of positivity. It doesn't exist. We all know the long list of failings accumulated over the years. In some respects, whilst a lot of others couldn't forgive that, at least the club was being maintained. Or so we thought. It's clear the ground, training ground, squad, staff, commercial operation have been badly neglected. This recent example, leaving families out of pocket, and he knew it was coming, and it could have been avoided. Did he care? Did he fk. Did he have a way out months ago? Yes, probably. Did he have the £160 million bid when we were more successful and at a time where he could have turned a profit? Probably. The point is he hasn't just gambled with his money here to maximise his return, he has gambled with our 158 year history, with the club we invested in as boys and girls generations ago, our pride and joy, and more to the point he has gambled with the lives of families amongst the staff and supporters. It's obscene, disgusting and can never be forgiven. I have tried so hard to get my lads to love football like I do. Kids these days don't automatically immerse themselves in it like they did in my day. They've got playstations and other stuff to occupy their time. Gradually the last few years since Darren Moore, they have gradually got more and more immersed in us, to the point where it has become a passion. They don't really care about the off field. They care about Djedi Gassama and Barry Bannan. They care about Danny Röhl, and winning. They do not give two fcks about Chansiri. They will be devastated about what awaits them next season. It means more to those two lads than it does to a man who is too much of a coward to explain to those people who have kept his investment alive for the last 10 years, what is going on, why people are angry, and why their heroes will gradually leave. This is what it means. What does it mean to him sat in his mansion in Bangkok? I'll be honest it makes my blood boil when he gets irate about people upsetting his kids. There will be 10,000 upset kids when we fall down the leagues and become the embarrassment he has made us. He talks about honor. He has no honor. Honor may be a thing in Thai culture, but it hasn't made it's way to him. Maybe he has immersed himself in that culture as much as he has ours when he stays in the Mercure hotel and only leaves it to go to the restaurant across the peace gardens, the ground in a car, or the bowling alley around the corner. What the pet shop does he know about us? How could he possibly? He sees the abuse he gets. The deserved abuse and he thinks that's it. He sees us as rats. Rats with money. On the flipside we have Milan Mandaric. Was he perfect? No. Did he have the money to take us to the next step? No. But the man had integrity and honesty. He knew us and he knew football. This utter ***** cretin is not even a hundredth of the man he was. He will leave no legacy, no relationship, and possibly no club. Not one fibre of my body will wish him well when he goes. Regardless of if he closes a deal, and even if he sells us to a billionaire. It will be in spite of him not because of him. It will make me sick if he benefits in any way. One thing giving me some small comfort is that if we do go under, it will destroy the man, and I hope then his family feels it like all the families in Sheffield impacted by his selfishness and ineptitude. And yes, I'm not keen on him.
  10. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s meeting with the local representative of the Florida lot.
  11. I mean I agree with this to an extent because the situation is desperate and it couldn’t get any worse could it? That said, there is a lot of fawning going on and we’re a bit like the kids who get in the car with strangers to see some puppies. There is nothing here to substantiate any of this. A 55000 seater stadium. How is that paid for? How is any of it paid for? Nobody knows aside from them saying “we’ve got loads of money”. I could say that. I think as others have said, it would make sense and add pressure on the owner if there was real tangible proof of what we can have and who is behind it. Until we see that there will still be some unwilling to put any real support behind it. Because it’s just words. Nobody knows John Flanagan, and some do know Adam Shaw enough to know that what comes out of his mouth has a good chance of being “enhanced” somewhat. If the people behind it are as big as he says then they could surely create a lot more positive noise than he can. Show the cards and finish him off.
  12. Grandstand at the back end of last season, I went to the counter to get my two lads a drink. As I was ordering she said we've got a special offer on Coke Zero if you want two of those instead? I thought that's good. Never seen anything like that here before where it's cheaper to buy two halves than it is a pint, so I said yes. Got them. Three months out of date. It also took me 20 minutes to buy them. Everything about our commercial operation is a shambles.
  13. This but point 5 needs to be number 1. We could increase commercial revenue by 10x without even trying. There are a million things we could do. The rest of the club needs to be revenue generating 7 days a week for 52 weeks of the year, not just on matchdays. There should be stuff on at hillsborough every weekend, and corporate events every day of the week. We're surrounded by breweries, independent businesses etc etc, none of which would ever dream of having anything to do with us because we're not creative enough and we're cost prohibitive. Chansiri would rather have one event every month costing an arm and a leg than 40 which cumulatively could generate much, much more. Build a proper heated/indoor fan zone, sell local beer at a good price, pork sandwiches, get people out of the pubs and spending money at the ground. It's not hard. If we get that foundation right the rest of it will follow with very minimal effort and one off cost.
  14. Imagine how much this would hurt Chrisseh though. It would be gorgeous.
