  1. I'm glad he got such a good reception, was a pleasure to see him pitchside at Hillsborough as he still lives by Plymouth so it was no mean feat to accept the invitation, travel and write a speech despite his illness. How he managed to get that squad promoted and keep them in the Championship was no easy task and he managed to unearth some gems as Tudgay and Burton on a very modest budget!
  2. Have to love the typical "If it wasn't for the ref, we would have won" comment. Even the Ipswich fans comment on YouTube acknowledges they were played off the park.
  3. Only about 350 tickets left.
  4. 1,020 sold! Brilliant effort.
  5. I think you can from the SWFC ticket to come down on the supporters coach office but not on the turnstiles.
  6. Would be a great effort! Come on 18 more owls to hit the mark!
  7. Come on 88 of you! Not a bad effort!
  8. Gatekeeper is opposite the Millennium Stadium just up from the main entrance if walking to the castle. A new alternative is shooters bar who have contacted the SWSWSWS and have said they will welcome Sheffield Wednesday fans there. Closer to the train station too being located in the tall building attached to the Millennium Stadium for those who remember in 2005. Hopefully the Huddersfield win will tempt a few more down.
  9. That's not too bad I guess.
  10. 981 according to the72.co.uk.
  11. The more the merrier! Any updates on the amount sold now? I hope we break the 1,000 sold barrier. Owls fans meeting at the Gatekeeper Wetherspoons in Cardiff. Hope to see everyone there!
  12. I would like to make it 1,000. Leeds always impose how great their away following is across social media yet took 900 down to Cardiff last season on a Tuesday night. It would be nice to get one over them!
  13. Anyone know how many we have sold? According to the ticket office Twitter site "plenty are available" which doesn't sound to good!
  14. I hope we have at least have a few more who will make the trip last minute to boost the numbers, Bit of perspective though, our support will be the largest to visit Cardiff so far this season, Wolves currently top it with 1,030 and local derby Bristol City managed 944, Fulham on the opening day didn't even break the 4 figure barrier taking 925 and Middlesbrough who's fans have come out the woodwork away from home only managed 625 on a Tuesday night. Other away followings there are 651, 405, 347 and 401, suddenly ours doesn't look that bad. Their forum seems reasonably impressed with the number too except for one poster who is questioning the poor support http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=165926
  15. It's about a 25 minute walk
  16. I will be there, hopefully be like the last venue last year when the Wednesday fans outnumbered the Cardiff fans so they asked the Bluebirds fans to leave!
  17. That's a good effort considering the state last week. Hopefully we can have a few more added on by Saturday.
  18. I'll be there as part of the SWSWSWS contingent.
  19. Thats much more acceptable though I would like to think we can shift more.
  20. Cardiff fans have deserted their team in numbers from getting 26,000 fans in the prem to 14,000 despite expanding the stadium to 32,000. Welsh sport has at times one of the most vocal yet fickle set of fans going
  21. Well said mate. It's all set up! They are 6th we are 7th equal on points. The away end has great acoustics for a new stadium. I would of hoped to be at the 1,000 barrier now at least!
  22. Better than the 700 the other day! Hopefully a win against Derby will tempt a few more!
  23. I think last season was 1,200 and season before 1,000. We have taken low numbers before to Ninian Park. Remember us taking something like 600 to Swansea not so long ago. Anyone know of an update on numbers sold?
  24. it isn't the best at the moment, I hope we can manage at least 1,000, hopefully a good performance against Derby might persuade a few to get down and support the lads.
  25. I think the prices are good, I guess thats why I'm surprised at how little we have sold, must be the distance and close to Christmas which has put your average fan off. Our record at Cardiff isn't great either!
