Some good points being made in response. A couple of key ones for me. Firstly, the salary cap recently imposed in LG 1 will to a large extent dilute the ‘big fish in a small pond’ advantage that we’ve had on occasion before. Secondly, with what seems to be the level of apathy currently existing it begs the question just how big would our crowds be in Lg1 to underpin our big fish status? Personally, I think it would be a disaster

Mom and dad bought me a mini season ticket for all the games at Hillsborough. Saw all the group games - Switzerland featured in every game from memory - and the quarter final between W Germany and Uruguay who were a set of thugs.

Just really surprised that he is out of the squad picture completely. A bit worrying that not so long ago he was touted as a rising star and now he's nowhere to be seen

Has anyone any news? Came into the team and looked really good but seems to have disappeared from the squad completely. Is he injured or just out of favour? Definitely thought he was one for the future
