No blow-torch expert, but I was going to start a thread asking if there was a way I could help myself.
There are a few issues, and this is not just a selfless offering, I admit, as I feel I would benefit from being out & about more due to being pretty isolated & depressed
I am disabled (spinal cord injury, but managed to regain some functions, thankfully, maybe 30%) due to pain, Insomnia and being on more drugs than you'd find at a rave in the 90s (prescription ones, obvs) I am about as reliable as a Thai footy chairman, so could only turn up on a "good" day which are pretty rare tbh, Also I am at tother end of Sheff (Lowedges/Greenhill) and have no transport so it would mean a taxi or something and they are like £45 each time I have a hospital appt at the NGH, thus it is not really something I can afford and one reason I have not made a game since my Injury like 6/7 years ago.
I'd be willing to do pretty much anything within my capabilities (fairly limited, but I can hobble about with my orthotic bionic leg thing until the pain knocks me out). I'd especially enjoy trashing anything Chansiri, though. Also, timing is not great as everything is worse in the cold/wet months, unfortunately.
Like I said, it is not purely selfless as I would benefit from being out and about, and especially being in Hillsborough, as my last time was either Leeds or Villa at home years ago (The play-off comeback killed me not being there as I knew we could do it) and the feel-good factor of doing something to help the club I have loved since my first game as a five year old, etc, as financially I can't do much.
Is there some kind of volunteer scheme? If not, is it the sort of thing we could perhaps work towards setting up? I am kinda thinking out loud here, so ignore me if it all sounds ridiculous.
Cheers
