Hi all, Im going to try and keep this section as light and footy related as humanly possible Anything to do with protests, Chansiri, takeovers, footy politics, conspiracy theories or any of that negative stuff can go in the boardroom section and discussed there no problem if that's what you wish to do. People are really starting to struggle and I’ve no intention of Owlstalk being a part of any mental health issues - the site was set up to talk about footy, pies, tactics, players and goals not all this negative stuff Hope you will support me on this204 points

The should be applauded. Had enough balls to do it. Anyone booing them today should be ashamed of themselves. Around me the majority are still sat on their hands in the 10th minute of every game. I am just lost for words148 points

The absolute scale and size of the effort going into this situation by the SWFC Trust The work they are doing both publically and behind the scenes to try and bring positive change is unprecedented The amount of work they have done is mindboggling honestly and let’s be honest at a club where our fanbase has been brainwashed to dismiss Trusts they’ve gone about their business in a way to keep everyone inside, behind them and willing them on to success Big thank you to them from myself and hopefully you too If you haven’t yet joined the Trust do it today117 points

Outnumbered in our own stadium by GRIMSBY, their fans in our stand, rightly so given the current situation, but crazy when you think about it. Don’t even get me started on the 3,000 who paid to go tonight. Add to that having to play a bunch of kids, who have done great but aren’t quite ready, all because our ‘owner’ has got us into a position where we cannot even sign free transfers. It’s a joke. It’s a disgrace what this utter joke of a human being is doing to this club. A full home boycott is needed as soon as possible. We can’t keep accepting this. If he’s still here by the time we play that lot across the other side of the city, we need the biggest protest we can think of.104 points

I've been thinking about this a lot recently as this whole situation at SWFC has unfolded Over the last few weeks and months the one thing that's come out of this situation is that our fans (on the whole - the odd exception to the rule will always be there) have been more patient, understanding and caring towards each other This matters a lot especially as the situation currently is affecting so many of our fans, either casually by annoying or frustrating them, or more severely as it damages their mental health drastically due to the thing they love being threatened or spoilt by the current scenario playing out on a daily basis in front of them Forums and social media are always full of people with differing views battling and pushing to put their opinions out and not always doing it in a way that is conducive to friendly debate but in recent times I'm seeing our fans thinking a bit more about how they speak to each other, interact with each other and reply to each other and personally I'm really thankful for that. What I would ask is that on here we continue to do that and that if you're replying to someone with differing views and opinions on this whole situation, that you do so with respect, calmness and in a way that shows you're a fellow fan alongside them and not some kind of enemy. Things are tough right now. We don't need to add to it by creating more grief, hassle or upset for each other by attacking each other oniine either directly (in replying to someone on here) or indirectly (by attacking fans who might not be protesting alongside you, or fans with different views on how to get through this time) It's exhausting enough to read the daily bad news without then having to read loads of angry posts shouting, ranting or getting livid with each other or fans at matches that aren't 100% on the same exact wavelength as yourself. You will find people have different opinions to you. You always will. It's nothing new, nothing incrediblly surprising - you just will always find people of differing views to you. How you react and interact with those people is solely down to you though and years of forums and social media being a thing on the internet has shown that responding with respect will always bring you better results than just immediately getting livid and having a pop. We're all Wednesday fans - we have that in common and always will - so remember that and understand that football is a game of opinions but so is ilfe and the current situation at SWFC will give birth to people with 1000000 different views on what should happen, what we should be doing, how bad the situation is, who can fix it etc etc etc It's normal - that's how it always is - Let's make replying to each other with respect normal too. I hope you are all well and I hope you will support each other through this tough period in our clubs history It's important Let's continue to improve and to continue looking after each other82 points

Good on them, hopefully they know they'd have the backing of 99% of the fan base if they did.78 points

I just mean the whole lot of it Any of it All of it It's like the weirdest situation I can't think of any manager in the entire history of our club that's in the most pointless of situations It's so weird isn't it Like even the interview - what's the point? What's the point of hearing anything the manager says this season really? (This isn't about him personally - anyone in his situation I mean)76 points

With attendances still much higher than what they should be is time to start blocking supporters from entering the stadium to discourage future attendance? If we can get 3 to 1 we can safely block a supporter from entering by enforcing a citizens arrest style approach. This would would be most effective against pay on the gate supporters. I can understand why some might think this is crossing the line.63 points

What were people honestly expecting? Rightly (season tickets) or wrongly (other) you've paid to watch a team who aren't equipped to compete at this level. Surely you aren't attending games expecting a win. Either turn up and watch the whole game (assuming you're a season ticket holder) or don't bother turning up at all. If the result dissappoints you, you're in for a extremely long version of an already long season. Quite frankly, I don't get it. If you're disgusted about the performance to that extent then it becomes about the team, which it isn't l, this is about one man, and that's Chansiri.61 points

I think we should do that every home threatening to invade pitch even if we don't make the Ty fool pay for extra stewards60 points

Seems like he's started well down at Franchise FC... Hardly a surprise given the level he's dropped to, but it's good to see another ex-Owl doing well since escaping Chansiri's madhouse. I can't help but wish he was still turning out for us, though - he's exactly the sort of player we could do with this season.59 points

Don’t blame the EFL. There”s only one person responsible for this.57 points

I disagree about boycotting away games: Showing up in numbers, shouting loudly against the owner, spreading the word. It shows any pending new owners what we are about as they don’t get that at Hillsborough. Maybe DC gets some income but it’s minimal compared to home games and the bigger picture needs to be considered. PS I don’t go to away games.56 points

I think he’s an idiot. A deeply stupid man. He’s also a fascist and a control freak. We are “his” as far as he’s concerned and he can do with the club what he likes, because that’s the type of control sick, paranoid individuals like him demand. He has never had any respect for any offered help during his entire time here. Never respected the fans or the people of Sheffield. Never respected the laws or regulations of the UK and its authorities. Something as routine as keeping up with tax obligations will just be another set of trouble causers he thinks are in for him and that he can turn around and say “what’s it got to do with you?”, like he did to the local MP’s. The way out of this is having it snatched out of his grasp. I hope, with every fibre of my soul, that it ends up being completely ruinous to him and his entire family. They can all rot in hell.55 points

Ball forward, George Brown chases it. Portsmouth player hits the deck (clearly a genuine injury) and Brown picks the ball up… ”he’s injured” my well natured 13yr old son says, me, already on my feet and gesticulating “F*CK HIM” before erupting into ecstasy when he slotted the ball home! What followed was a brief conversation about sportsmanship and how, basically that doesn’t count for us because we’re proper sh*t and desperate for a win! Anyone else?55 points

For any players reading this, do it. I and many other fans will be 100% behind you withdrawing your labour. This situation is not acceptable, don't accept it, you deserve better than this.52 points

The trust have called for a full boycott regardless of if you're a season ticket holder or not. Anybody turning up to this match needs to have a good look at themselves in the mirror.51 points

Time for a truce and a ceasefire on any fans still going Nothing positive ever comes from the witch hunts or attempted shaming Instead focus on the success of the protests, the clear evidence of it working and the sheer huge number of our fans digging in to join the protest to attempt to raise awareness50 points

I've had my debates on here defending season ticket holders attending games...I'm one...I attend. I did notice today tho, the lack of Q's outside the kiosks, the amount of Black and Gold,So i asked around me, known ;em all for years,so it was hardly cold canvassing or dangerous...EVERY single one that I asked (its about 10) would boycott a league game, Is it time?50 points

His main job is to drain money from Chumpsiri. Which he is doing with remarkable efficiency. His effectiveness on the football field is a secondary consideration.49 points

Said fans, players and staff dont deserve this. Stopped asking questions to DC as he gets no answers. Its mental that a championship club gets to payday and cant pay the wages it needs a resolution. Came across as throwing DC under the bus but was clear that the players will do all they can on the pitch for the fans! After that interview its clear if it wasn't before that even the players want DC gone! Even Gabby Agbonlahor went on a rant against DC!48 points

I think I’ve done for a bit now tbh. Not faulting any of the players/staff but I find the whole experience demoralising I’ve seen us a lot worse than this on the pitch but the whole club is broken and it’s just depressing.44 points

Speaking for myself, and honestly not having a pop, but who cares? Of the myriad of problems we have right now, this barely registers for me.44 points

Protest Plans – Sheffield Wednesday vs QPR (H) This Saturday we continue to stand together in our fight for change. The momentum is growing – and it’s vital we keep building it after a very good display at Portsmouth. Scarfs Black & Gold protest scarfs will once again be available at the same locations as last time and participating pubs to be confirmed (see graphic ). Please pick one up and join in – the impact is growing fixture by fixture. 10th Minute Protest On the 10th minute, raise your scarf aloft and make your voices heard. The wall of black & gold and the sound of our chants are sending a clear message. Keep it going for the full 90 minutes as heard at Pompey! Boycott Reminder We remind supporters to continue boycotting all official food, drink and merchandise. This action is working – every penny withheld strengthens the pressure for change. We advise against additional ticket purchases for the fixture. Post-Match Demonstration After the final whistle, we will once again gather under the South Stand. Both attendees and those boycotting. With scarfs raised and the black & gold theme stronger than ever, this demonstration will have even greater visual impact than the previous one. Not Televised – But Crucial Although this game isn’t on TV, it’s vital we maintain momentum. Every protest builds towards the next home league fixture, which will be televised live on Sky – a huge platform to show the country how strong this movement has become. This is growing, week by week. The message is spreading. Together, we are louder and stronger.44 points

Can’t read the article but is there anything actually broken at United? New owners came in with their own philosophy which is fine, appointed a manager to fit, didn’t work out so made a pragmatic decision to go back to the old manager who’ll probably do a good job. Aside from that they’ve had 3 promotions to the Prem since we were last in, improved the stadium, invested in a new academy facility at Dore, got a better commercial operation and sold numerous players for huge profit. I wouldn’t mind us being as broken as that43 points

If any professional is expecting a player through on goal, to put the ball out of play (apart from a serious head injury) then WIND YOUR NECK IN. Well done young man43 points
