IMO Staton spends too much time trying to tell us his opinion (which is always correct) vs letting others share there’s

I don’t agree with that.

He gives his opinion on subjects, usually to get discussion/debate going (its a phone in show, 5 nights a week which can be difficult to keep interest depending on whats going on with the local teams)

He absolutely does listen. But he will also challenge the caller.  This is what i want to hear.

Not just the usual “thanks Mick, Next caller is 2-1 Ken”

Disagree with this

It's more that people can't handle him challenging views and start crying about it

Absolutely this.

It's the same type of person than gets narced by James O'Brien on LBC Radio too.

Nothing wrong with him. All our reporters and media types are excellent compared to what you get in most other places.

What does it matter who he supports, he does his job.

Rob imho is an excellent commentator and overall journalist. He asks the questions that many others wouldn’t dare to. He’s made a good career from being a young lad working for hospital radio.

I think his commentary sets him apart. I said on Saturday, the goal of a good commentator is to allow you to see and understand the game although you aren’t there. Andy Giddings just doesn’t give me that. Not a dig but he just doesn’t.

It's well known he supports Halifax.

Rob is an Owl. Adam is a Blade. Neither comes across as biased to me.

Giddings doesn't take himself too seriously; he'll see the funny side to it, and no doubt be reminded about this line on tonight's Football Heaven. Maybe somebody should ring up and ask Andy if there's a hurricane on the way?
